NBA insider Jake Fischer revealed that the Nuggets are searching for a new big man addition this offseason following Valanciunas' exit. "Denver is in need of another potential backup center after losing Jonas Valanciunas," Fischer said on Bleacher Report. "They waived him by their own decision, and he just officially signed in Lithuania. "They brought in Marvin Bagley to be a backup center, but I do still think there's some thought in Denver about finding some more frontcourt depth."

James L. Edwards III: Knicks have a little more competition in the backup center market with the Lakers dealing Ayton. One name I’m hearing to watch for with New York if he gets waived by Denver: Jonas Valanciunas. Nuggets just added Marvin Bagley.

Before Marvin Bagley III agreed to a one-year deal with the Denver Nuggets, the Knicks were showing interest in the 27-year-old big man, league sources told HoopsHype. New York’s recent interest in Kevon Looney and Nick Richards, who have been linked to the Knicks via trade interest for multiple seasons, has also been documented. Another center who shouldn’t be overlooked for the Knicks is Andre Drummond. The former four-time rebounding champion and two-time All-Star remains one of the league’s top rebounders statistically and is in play with several teams in free agency.

Shams Charania: Free agent center Marvin Bagley III has agreed to a one-year deal with the Denver Nuggets, sources tell ESPN. A critical frontcourt addition for the Nuggets.
