Denver Nuggets forward Peyton Watson is expected to return Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers after missing more than six weeks due to a hamstring strain, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania on Saturday. Watson's return would mark the first time the Nuggets have had their full roster available since early in the season. Several players, including three-time MVP Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon, Cameron Johnson and Christian Braun, have all missed extended time this year.

Anthony Slater: Kristaps Porzingis is out tonight in Atlanta with lower back tightness. Jonathan Kuminga is off the injury report and cleared to face the Warriors. Questionable: Draymond Green, De’Anthony Melton, Gary Payton II, Quinten Post.
Barry Jackson: With Wiggins and jaime Jaquez out tonight, Heat has added Norman Powell to injury report as questionable because of calf tightness.... Two who had been questionable -- Larsson and Fontecchio -- have been changed to available... The 3 two-way contract guys are out.

Marc J. Spears: Wizards say Trae Young re-injured his right quadriceps, sustaining a contusion against Golden State on March 16. Related imaging, due to ongoing back pain, confirmed lower back irritation. Both injuries are being treated conservatively and will not require surgery at this time.

But he fractured his right ring finger in the Celtics’ win over the Mavericks on March 6, the same night Jayson Tatum made his comeback. Right when the C’s looked like they were going to be whole, they had another setback. Vucevic’s injury required him to undergo surgery, and his initial timeframe to return was about three-to-four weeks. “The good thing is I can still do some stuff on the court,” Vucevic said, via the Boston Globe. “That will help me for when I come back (to be in) shape, and hopefully I get a couple games before the playoffs, get back in rhythm with the guys that week between regular season and playoffs, everything going as smoothly as possible.”

The Celtics will hope Vucevic is good to go to have a runway to finish off the season. Having as many matchup possibilities goes a long way with the C’s looking like a real East contender. The timing was unfortunate, but it sounds like Vucevic could return to the lineup in the near future. “So far I haven’t had much pain or anything; everything has been going well,” he said. “The swelling is coming down and been working the range of motion. So hopefully the X-ray is clean at three weeks and I can start doing some stuff and just getting back to being comfortable and building strength in the hand.”

Nick Friedell: “The only reason Steph would not return this year is because that knee still isn’t right. But the feeling and hope within the organization right now is that it will be, and that we’ll see him at some point in the next couple of weeks.”

Draymond Green: “What stopped my scroll this week was seeing someone say Joel Embiid has now officially missed more games than he’s played. It stopped my scroll because I get tired of people talking and just throwing these things out there. What about his health? And let’s take a step aside from his actual physical health — what about his mental health? He knows how much guys put into this game to be great. You’re talking about a guy who worked from shooting a backwards layup out of bounds 12 or 15 years ago to being the MVP of the NBA. What about him mentally? So, I see people just throw these things around and talk, and it irks me. I saw that, and it stopped my scroll because it made me feel for Joel. I feel for him. Nobody knows what he’s going through and what he has to deal with. And everybody says, ‘Oh man, he got the money. He good.’ No, he’s not. He wants to play basketball. He loves playing basketball.”

Golden State Warriors center Kristaps Porzingis left Friday night's road loss in Detroit with lower back spasms and said postgame he will "probably" miss Saturday night's reunion game in Atlanta against a Hawks team that traded him in February. "We'll see," Porzingis said. "Maybe it loosens up tomorrow. Who knows? But right now it's pretty stiff." Porzingis said he first felt his back tightening up in the first quarter, but the problem worsened late in the second quarter after back-to-back plays bumping with Pistons big man Jalen Duren.
Porzingis said he didn't believe the back issue to be serious, saying that he'd dealt with similar trouble early in his career and knew how to keep it calm. "I would say I'm pretty good at managing it, keeping my back strong," Porzingis said. "Little tight now. Once I cool down, it'll tighten up more."

Brendan Vogt: I asked Jamal Murray about his right shoulder - lots of ice tonight and it was taped up in recent games. “We’re good,” he said. Follow up: But what should I say if Nuggets fans ask me about it? “He’s good.”

Solomon Hill: unfortunate play. no intent there at all, respect to Bron.
