Kevin Garnett on Victor Wembanyama: One thing I want to speak on is just Wemby's development. If I'm him, I’m working on core strength because when… Paul will tell you, I'm not the biggest guy, right? But he'll tell you when I sit down and post up, can you move me? Paul Pierce: No, he's strong. Garnett: I'm probably one of the strongest people you could ever run up on and look like how I look, but when it came down there to setting up on that block and then pitching and getting it off down there, yeah, I was the best at that. I would love to work with Big Fella, but this generation has a preference on how they want to work out. And I have to respect that. But yeah, I'm open to all… Listen, I'm looking for big years from not just Wemby. I'm looking for big years from Chet Holmgren. I'm looking for a big summer from Zion Williamson. I'm looking for a big summer from Kyrie Irving. I'm looking for Jayson Tatum to have a big summer.

Legion Hoops: Kyrie on the 2016 Cavs reunion: “All for one. One for all. WE completed the mission together as brothers, and that's all that matters to me…”

Kyrie Irving and ANTA will launch a 2026 world tour beginning June 22 in Shanghai, with stops across China, Indonesia, and the United States, the brand announced Thursday. The tour, branded “The Return,” will move through Shanghai, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Jakarta, Las Vegas, New Jersey, and Macau between June 22 and October. It is Irving’s third major tour for the brand, where he serves as ANTA Basketball’s chief creative officer.

Marc J. Spears on Kyrie Irving: I do think he'll be back on the roster. I know their owner is really, really high on seeing him and Cooper Flagg play together. And then Masai Ujiri had said in his introductory press conference that he wanted to see that as well.

Notably absent was Kyrie Irving, who hit the go-ahead 3-pointer for Cleveland in Game 7 of the 2016 NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors. Smith seemingly addressed Irving's absence, commenting on a post about the reunion: "Missing none. He was invited and ghosted us all. So stop with that bs."

Cedric Maxwell: "LeBron James is one of my favorite players because the longevity and what he's done. He is one of the top players of all-time. So I don't think that I could go away from that. I don't think you could have five greater players in the NBA than LeBron James and what he's done for the league and how he's really handled himself. A guy who has been no trouble, won championships, and you think about the personnel that have been around him, and other personnel that have been around him, you don't have that with LeBron. I have to give Kyrie Irving obviously was that, but the personnel that he's had over the years, that is really different when you think about what he's done and how he's won championships."

Jon Krawczynski: But in the last week to 10 days, there have been more and more signs coming out of Dallas that Kyrie is going to stay there; that the Mavericks want Kyrie to play alongside Cooper Flagg; that Kyrie really enjoys being in Dallas; and that he wants to stay there. It did seem like he has found some kind of comfort and tranquility there, so that makes sense. So while I believe that, if the Wolves were going to trade for Kyrie Irving, yes, maybe it would be Julius Randle, a first-round pick, and something else to get Kyrie—versus needing eight different pieces to get Giannis—I just think that is looking more and more unlikely at this point. What exactly the Timberwolves do to address their ball handling is something we’ll have to see. But the Kyrie Irving steam has definitely been reduced by quite a bit, and at this point, I would be very surprised if a Kyrie Irving deal got done.

The Mavericks, as we've been forecasting for some time in various appearances on the DLLS Mavs podcast, have indeed received trade inquiries for star guard Kyrie Irving, league sources say. However ... Sources tell The Stein Line that the Mavericks, thus far this offseason, have been messaging to teams that Irving is not available. Detroit and Minnesota are known to have Irving interest, but The Stein Line has learned that Houston — oft-mentioned as a potential suitor — has yet to make any overtures to the Mavericks regarding the 34-year-old's availability.

Kevin Love: "I came in and thought I'll probably be the third guy, but I'm still going to be able to put up my fair share of numbers and play my game. With those two, one guy who's a freight train in LeBron James, another who is a magician with the basketball, the thing that I had to do in order for that team to thrive was space the floor."

Paul Pierce: "This sparked up some conversation with me and some of my friends. I'm like, "Hey, is Jalen Brunson better than Kyrie all time if he wins?" Man, hold on now. I have to agree with that because I've never seen a Kyrie-led team win a title. And as great as Kyrie has been in his career, there's gonna be some tough conversations made if or when the Knicks win this title about Jalen Brunson and where he stands in NBA history as one of the better guards."

Interviewer: “So, when you say ‘talking trash behind the scenes,’ like politically maneuvering? Going to maybe Patrick and saying, ‘Hey, I’m the guy doing this, not Mark’?” Mark Cuban: “Absolutely.” Interviewer: “What is he doing to you? What is he saying? How do you find out about—” Mark Cuban: “Like, ‘Oh, I did the Kyrie deal. He didn’t do the Kyrie deal.’ “Right. Yeah, he might have talked to the general manager, but I’m the one that made the decision. I talked to the agent. I talked to the other players. I was there to meet him, right?"

In his latest Bleacher Report livestream, NBA insider Jake Fischer argued that he does not fully expect the star point guard to remain in Dallas into the next 2026-27 season. “I don’t necessarily believe that Kyrie Irving will be on the Mavericks roster come opening night," Fischer said. "There will be contending teams that would make trade calls to Dallas.”

Mike Curtis: Kyrie Irving: “I am definitely close to being over at 100% in terms of my ACL recovery. It’s been a while now…I’m so grateful that I’ve had the time to heal & just experiment with my body more on the court and off the court in the weight room & just pushing myself to the limit.”
