Andy Larsen: Last year, the Jazz did their press conference with Cody Williams, Isaiah Collier, and Kyle Filipowski on the Tuesday after the draft, so waiting a few days is not uncommon. I'm told to still expect that press conference on or before that this year with Ace Bailey.
Multiple team sources, interviewed by The Athletic, provided some answers. Utah isn’t currently sure where it will take its roster once the offseason hits. But, it can go one of two ways. One is to build around forward Lauri Markkanen with a veteran-laden core. In that case, expect the Jazz to hit the market and attempt to secure veteran help to bolster their roster. The other way is to double down on the Jazz’s many young players on their roster: Keyonte George, Isaiah Collier, Walker Kessler, Taylor Hendricks and Kyle Filipowski, along with last year’s lottery pick, Cody Williams.
Andy Larsen: Jazz beat Blazers 133-126 in OT. Kyle Filipowski: 30 points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and a block. Keyonte George: 18/6/6. Sensabaugh: 22/4/4. The win makes it probably about 10% more likely that they end up with the No. 6 pick this draft.
During that same timeout, second-year guard Keyonte George was not in the huddle. He sat at the end of the bench hunched over, not really paying attention to what was going on between Filipowski and Sexton. Then when head coach Will Hardy joined the huddle, George slowly walked around the corner of the court with a towel over his head. Even John Collins and Taylor Hendricks, wearing street clothes, were engaged in what was happening with the rest of the team and listening in to what Hardy had to say. And this isn’t the first time that George has seemed disconnected or frustrated in a negative way.

NBA Communications: Other nominees... West: Donovan Clingan (POR), Isaiah Collier and Kyle Filipowski (UTA), Zach Edey (MEM) and Quinten Post (GSW) East: Matas Buzelis (CHI), Justin Edwards (PHI), Alex Sarr (WAS), Jamal Shead (TOR) and Kel’el Ware (MIA)
Jones, though, can impress even the players with his athleticism. Hardy said that he dunked on an “unnamed player” in a practice this year, which left us media wondering who that player was. After some asking around, Kyle Filipowski spilled the beans: Jones dunked on both himself and Walker Kessler.
Andy Larsen: Pelicans beat Jazz 128-121. An important loss for the tank. A wild game +/- wise, Kyle Filipowski nearly had a triple-double but also had a -32. Oscar Tshiebwe had career-high 16p, 13 rebs, and a +25. Jazz bench outscored NOPs 64-25.
Erik Slater: Quite the injury report for the Jazz tonight vs. the Nets: QUESTIONABLE - Kyle Filipowski (right ankle sprain) QUESTIONABLE - Lauri Markkanen (low back spasms) QUESTIONABLE - Brice Sensabaugh (return to competition reconditioning) OUT - Jordan Clarkson (left plantar

Andy Larsen: Jazz say Keyonte George is questionable tomorrow vs Cleveland with his ankle sprain, Cody Williams and Kyle Filipowski also listed as questionable, meaning it’s likely they’re called up after their G League game tonight.
Andy Larsen: Jazz say Kyle Filipowski is questionable for tomorrow’s game vs. Sacramento in his return to the Jazz, Lauri Markkanen is also questionable with his back ailment. (Jordan Clarkson remains out.)
Sarah Todd: Will Hardy said he expects Kyle Filipowski to rejoin the team for the game in Sacramento on Sunday. Wanted to get him some ramp up reps with the Stars after being out. But he’s fully anticipating Kyle being back in the rotation.
