The Raptors, league sources confirmed, are among the teams that have checked in on Sabonis ahead of the trade deadline. He has three years and $136.3 million left on his contract, so it would need to be a large-scale deal with either RJ Barrett or Immanuel Quickley likely heading back. Barrett's remaining contract (two years, $57.3 million) is more appetizing.

NBA Communications: Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Dončić and Toronto Raptors guard Immanuel Quickley have been named the NBA Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for Week 14 of the 2025-26 season (Jan. 19-25).

Esfandiar Baraheni: UPDATE: Immanuel Quickley and Ja’Kobe Walter are AVAILABLE. Collin Murray-Boyles is OUT.

TSN can confirm that Toronto appears willing to part with some combination of Immanuel Quickley, Jakob Poeltl and RJ Barrett, or at least that’s the impression that rival teams have gleaned from exploratory discussions. That tracks, both because the Raptors would need to include one or two of those players to match salary in any big trade, but also because those are the contracts limiting their financial flexibility moving forward.

Immanuel Quickley had a night on Tuesday. Not just any other night, but a Wilt Chamberlain kind of evening. The former Kentucky Wildcats star put on a show in the Raptors’ 145-127 win over Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors at Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif., leading Toronto with 40 points on 11-for-13 shooting from the field to go along with 10 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals in 34 minutes of action. Quickley’s performance made him just the second player in the history of the NBA to have at least 40 points and 10 dimes, while shooting 80% or better from the floor in a game. Chamberlain was the first one to do it, and he accomplished that monster stat line three times, according to ESPN Insights.

Josh Lewenberg: Immanuel Quickley and Jamison Battle are questionable for tomorrow night’s game against the Lakers. Barrett, Poeltl and Walter remain out to start the West Coast trip.

Law Murray: Darko Rajakovic has ruled out Immanuel Quickley (back) for tonight vs Clippers. Garrett Temple and Sandro Mamukelashvili are available. And if you can type that on your iPhone with no typos, respect.

Josh Lewenberg: A few changes to the Raptors’ injury report for tonight’s game vs the Clippers. Mamu (illness) has been upgraded to probable and Battle (ankle) has been ruled out. Barrett, Poeltl and Walter are out. Quickley still questionable.

In addition, the Toronto Raptors have called the Grizzlies about Morant. As previously reported by HoopsHype, Toronto also checked in on LaMelo Ball over the offseason. Amid looking for a point guard upgrade, the Raptors have gauged the trade market on starting guard Immanuel Quickley.
