Josh Lewenberg: Darko on CMB: “Getting to understand who he is as a person & what he’s about made me fall in love with this guy. He’s an amazing human being… We’re so lucky to have him.” Plan for summer is to keep getting stronger/faster to sustain full season, develop face-up game + shooting
Michael Grange: Darko Rajakovic has a long list of things that Collin Murray-Boyles will be tasked with over the summer, but shooting is down the list: “He's going to obviously be working on his shooting, but I'm not putting prime on that in his development at this point.”
Josh Lewenberg: Collin Murray-Boyles said his nagging thumb injury has felt better the past month or so, but doesn't sound like it's fully healed. He'll talk to the trainers and maybe see a hand specialist before determining a treatment plan. Will he need surgery? "We'll see. Pray I don't."
Josh Lewenberg: CMB, going into his first full NBA offseason: “It’ll do tremendous wonders for me. I feel like having 5 months to just get better… that’s going to be a lot of time to work on a lot of things… Just trying to get as good as possible for next season.”
Josh Lewenberg: Sounds like CMB even surprised himself with his rookie season. “I wasn’t expecting it to go like this, but it was really good for me.”

Danny Cunningham: The NBA’s Last 2 Minute Report had two incorrect non-calls on it in overtime. - A defensive three seconds should have been called on Collin Murray-Boyles at the 1:46 mark of overtime. - RJ Barrett took longer than five seconds to inbound the basketball at the 33.7 mark of overtime.
Now, Raptors general manager Bobby Webster says Temple has been a key mentor for their young players. “He’s invaluable,” Webster said. “Three years ago, when we met him in Vegas, we didn’t have a great personal relationship with him. There is nobody on the team I trust more about the pulse of the team, what I need to watch and what messaging you can help us with, especially in today’s NBA with so many young kids coming in. “He’s been [mentoring] Scottie [Barnes] for a couple years; we have this young kid Collin Murray-Boyles. He’s a huge mentor and invaluable to us.”

That goes for this series and beyond. Just after halftime in Game 4, the Cavaliers made a point of getting Evan Mobley the ball and going at Poeltl. They got two easy buckets. Collin Murray-Boyles came in shortly after and changed the dynamic. Mobley was barely heard from again, scoring just two points after Murray-Boyles replaced Poeltl midway through the quarter. (The bucket, again, came when the Cavs attacked Poeltl.) According to NBA.com’s matchup data, the Cavaliers have scored just 48 points in 70 possessions when the rookie has guarded Mobley in the series. With Barnes needed to slow down Harden, Murray-Boyles has been massive in that sense.

Force was a clear theme — a word used more than 20 times in Cleveland’s postgame locker room. “We weren’t forceful enough,” Donovan Mitchell said. “I think the force is the biggest thing.” Toronto’s Scottie Barnes and RJ Barrett led all scorers with 33 points apiece. Raptors rookie Collin Murray-Boyles added 22 off the bench. Battle, the unsung hero who logged just three minutes in the first two games, chipped in with 14 points. Across five games against Cleveland, with the regular season included, the former Buckeye has now gone 13 of 14 from the field. “He’s a shooter,” Mitchell said of Battle. “If you give a guy an open a look, once you see one go in, it goes from there. Credit to him, credit to them. But we’ve got to get better.”

Esfandiar Baraheni: Raptors keep their season alive. Series is now 2-1. They were led by Scottie Barnes who had 33 points, 11 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 stocks on 17 shots. RJ Barrett who put up 33 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and six threes. CMB with 22 and 8 off the bench. Battle with 14.
Michael Grange: “It's a really, really good team, like is what it is. They have great pieces all around and obviously the head of the snake — I don't even know who's the snake for this team, it’s so talented” — Raptors rookie Collin Murray-Boyles after G1 loss to Cavs. Not wrong.
Josh Lewenberg: Raptors have a full lineup for today’s regular season finale vs Brooklyn. RJ Barrett, Collin Murray-Boyles, Immanuel Quickley and Trayce Jackson-Davis are all available.
Blake Murphy: RJ Barrett (knee soreness), Collin Murray-Boyles (neck sprain), and Trayce Jackson-Davis (illness) are questionable for Raptors on Sunday. Chucky Hepburn is out.
