Andy Larsen: Both Keyonte George and Brice Sensabaugh are available and will play tonight vs. San Antonio.

The Jazz have downgraded Brice Sensabaugh (illness) to out for Monday’s game against San Antonio. Isaiah Collier (right quadriceps contusion) is available.

Grant Afseth: Final: Mavericks 144, Jazz 122 Klay Thompson: 26 PTS, 1 REB, 6 AST Naji Marshall: 22 PTS, 6 REB, 4 AST, 3 STL Jaden Hardy: 19 PTS, 1 REB, 5 AST Brice Sensabaugh: 27 PTS, 5 REB, 1 AST Keyonte George: 17 PTS, 3 REB, 3 AST Dallas (16-26) and Utah rematch on Saturday.

The caveat aside from going through a potential rebuilding season, how do you evaluate where you are in your third season? Brice Sensabaugh: I feel pretty good about it. Coming from the second to third year, now there are a lot of things that I understand now that I didn’t before, such as the flow of the game and the intensity that it takes to win. I feel like this season my mentality has changed a lot. Toward the end of last season, I started hitting shots and scoring a good amount of points. But it wasn’t really translating into winning. This year, I’ve had four or five games where I made a big impact and translated to a win. I’m starting to understand the intensity and attention to detail that it takes to alter games and make a big impact like that. That’s the biggest takeaway I’ve had so far. The NBA is the best league in the world and has the best players. So it’s hard to do that consistently for a young player. But I’m searching for that every single game and trying to make that impact to give us a good chance to win. It’s been a fun year. There are a lot of games where my shot is going in and out. I’m trying not to dwell on it too much. I trust that it will go in. I’m doing my work early with my feet and my balance and am trusting the results. I try not to overreact to the misses too much. I just keep on playing and wait until they go in.

Big picture with all of this: you’ve said before that you hope it’s a goal in your third season to solidify yourself as an NBA player. How are you dealing with both the internal and external expectations to reach that goal? Brice Sensabaugh: It’s definitely difficult to be an impactful player in the NBA as a young guy. But it’s also fun. I’m coming out and competing against people that I grew up watching. Now I’m trying to beat them. It’s been fun. But it’s a balance. There are so many ways that you can look at it. But I’ve been trying to make sure my intensity is high and to do the little things. We have very talented players on this team. We can do special things. Based on which lineup I’m in, if I’m starting with Keyonte and Lauri, I’m trying to be that ‘attention to detail’ guy and ‘glue guy’ that keeps us going. They’re going to get theirs. So I’m trying to hit shots and be locked in on the defensive end. If I’m coming off the bench, a lot of times it’s give that scoring kick. So I can do that. I feel like it’s been pretty good so far. I feel like we’re a much better team than last season.

What are the main things they’re getting on you guys for? Brice Sensabaugh: They’re holding us accountable. Kevin Love is a champion. Kyle Anderson has been in the playoffs multiple times. Jusuf Nurkić has been a franchise player at one point. So they have so much knowledge. They don’t hold anything back. They let us know if we’re messing up. They let us know what it looks like to be a good team. We’re slowly developing those qualities and habits from those guys.

Michael Scotto: The Utah Jazz have exercised the following team options for the 2026-27 season: Taylor Hendricks ($7.81 million), Keyonte George ($6.56 million), Cody Williams ($6.02 million), Brice Sensabaugh ($4.86 million), Isaiah Collier ($2.76 million)

Sarah Todd: Brice Sensabaugh, Taylor Hendricks, Svi Mykhailiuk and KJ Martin are here to watch the Jazz Summer League team. Also, all Jazz players on the court are wearing warmup shirts that have Frank Layden and the #1 on the back.

Andy Larsen: Jazz beat Blazers 133-126 in OT. Kyle Filipowski: 30 points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and a block. Keyonte George: 18/6/6. Sensabaugh: 22/4/4. The win makes it probably about 10% more likely that they end up with the No. 6 pick this draft.
