Sarah Todd: Brice Sensabaugh, Taylor Hendricks, Svi Mykhailiuk and KJ Martin are here to watch the Jazz Summer League team. Also, all Jazz players on the court are wearing warmup shirts that have Frank Layden and the #1 on the back.
Bobby Manning: We spoke to Jaden Springer and Svi Mykhailiuk before the game. Springer appreciated his time with the #Celtics & was happy that Brad Stevens gave him a heads up that Boston was trying to trade him before things came together. So he was expecting it.
Jazz defeat Nets 105-94. Lauri Markkanen leads the way with 21 points. Collin Sexton and Svi Mykhailiuk drop 18 points apiece. Cameron Johnson leads the way for Brooklyn with 18 points.
Andy Larsen: Lauri Markkanen a late scratch tonight due to a back injury. Svi Mykhailiuk will start in his place.

Tony Jones: The first year of Svi Mykhailiuk’s contract is fully guaranteed at $3.5 million, League Sources tell The Athletic, with the next three being non-guaranteed. He comes to the Utah Jazz with a chance at earning minutes at both wing spots
Adrian Wojnarowski: Free agent F Svi Mykhailiuk has agreed on a four-year, $15 million deal with the Utah Jazz, agent Michael Lelchitski of @SIGSports tells ESPN. He played 41 games for the NBA champion Boston Celtics last season.
All of Boston’s rotation players are signed for next season, with the only free agents being reserve centers Luke Kornet, Xavier Tillman Sr. and Neemias Queta and little-used guard Svi Mykhailiuk. Reserve forward Oshae Brissett has a player option on his minimum deal. Boston also will have a chance to add an inexpensive piece with the 30th pick in the NBA Draft. I’m told the Celtics would like to bring the centers back if the money is reasonable; regardless, Boston can easily replenish the back end of the roster with other minimum deals this offseason.
Svi Mykhailiuk knew that signing with the Boston Celtics this past summer would result in a reduced role compared to what he experienced in previous seasons. But he also knew that he’d have scattered opportunities to contribute to a contending team’s winning formula, and one of those chances arrived Sunday afternoon while facing off against the Washington Wizards. In resting their top six players for the regular-season finale, the Celtics called on an entirely new starting rotation. Among them was Mykhailiuk, who seized the moment by putting forth one of the best performances of his life.

“When we asked Svi to come here, one of the things I told him was, ‘It’s going to be inconsistent at times. But because of how we play, we’re going to rely on you guys to win us games, so the things you do daily are important.’ And he bought into that, and that was great … He’s done a lot of great things for us. I love his work ethic on a daily basis, and he helped us win games this year.” Mykhailiuk says that the conversation he had with Mazzulla recurred throughout the campaign. It made him feel better prepared for any chance he was given. “[Mazzulla] mentioned that during the season a lot and it makes you cautious and makes you understand that you actually have to be prepared at any time for whatever happens,” Mykhailiuk said. “We understand that we are one of the best teams in the league and we have really big goals, so for me personally to help the team win, you’ve just always got to be prepared.”
The NBA admitted Saturday that officials missed a critical call in the final seconds of the Sacramento Kings’ heartbreaking 101-100 loss to the Boston Celtics on Friday at TD Garden. According to the league’s Last 2 Minute Report, Celtics guard Svi Mykhailiuk should have been called for a shooting foul on a putback attempt by Kings guard Colby Jones with 1.9 seconds remaining.
