Dallas Mavericks PR: The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have signed center Kylor Kelley to a Two-Way contract and requested waivers on Two-Way guard Jazian Gortman. Kelley will wear No. 50 for the Mavericks.
Jazian Gortman, who is competing for a contract, was a standout on both ends of the floor against the Grizzlies, finishing with 20 points and 4 steals. Kidd took notice of Gortman’s toughness and praised his fearless approach. With the Mavericks having an open two-way slot, Gortman is building a strong case to earn it, between his impressive preseason performance and strong play at Summer League. “Gortman’s tough. I loved what he did tonight. He shot the ball well, played aggressively, and kept us organized,” Kidd explained. “He’s not scared—that’s what you need. The last two-way spot is going to be interesting to see who we go with.”
Mike Curtis: Mavs announce they’ve signed guard Jazian Gortman and forward Emanuel Miller. Both players will play for the team’s Summer League squad. Mavs SL coach Jared Dudley said today that Miller is one of the most physical players on the team.
Keith Smith: The Milwaukee Bucks have signed Jazian Gortman to a training camp contract, a league source told @spotrac .
