Rozier, who is in a walking boot and on crutches, was one of only four players in the NBA who shot worse than 40 percent from the field and worse than 30 percent on threes while playing in at least 60 games this regular season. That list also includes Charlotte Hornets forward Tidjane Salaun, Philadelphia 76ers guard Ricky Council IV and Orlando Magic guard Jett Howard. “I have the utmost respect for Terry,” Heat captain and three-time All-Star center Bam Adebayo said. “He could have let go of the rope, like a lot of guys have done in this league. They let go of the rope because they’re out of the rotation or whatever the case may be. For him to keep fighting, keep having perseverance and just keep stacking days of just trying to get better, you respect that in somebody.”

Ricky Council's role this season has been one he should theoretically be perfect for: a change-of-pace, spark plug type of player who can help shift the energy in the gym. Council thrived in this role during his rookie campaign, but in 2024-25 he has not been able to have the same impact when Sixers head coach Nick Nurse calls his name. Speaking at his locker after Wednesday's game, Council said he had spent a lot of time watching film of his rookie season to find the best version of himself again.
Gina Mizell: FINAL: Rockets 122, Sixers 115 in OT. Valiant effort by the shorthanded Sixers, but Alperen Sengun (22-14-7) took over in OT and Jalen Green added 41 points and 7 rebounds. Tyrese Maxey with 39 points and 10 assists. Guerschon Yabusele with 22 and 7. Ricky Council with a big 12 and 10 off the bench. Still, the Sixers drop to 3-14.

Lauren Rosen: Matt Brase, Summer League head coach, on Ricky Council IV’s high energy: “From the day I met Ricky, that’s how he is. It’s an every day thing. He’s got a chip on his shoulder to prove something, every single day. He’s a competitor. That’s why we love Ricky.”
