After I finished assigning credit for each highlight, I summed each player’s Highlight Points to create the following ranking: Ja Morant tops the list despite appearing in just 50 games last season. It helps that Morant had the number one highlight on five separate occasions last season — tied with Anthony Edwards and Donovan Mitchell for the the most among any player in my dataset. Morant hit for the cycle with number one plays featuring his passing shooting, dunking, game-tying, and game-winning plays. LeBron James was the most frequently featured player in the T10, but had just the second most Highlight Points. That’s because most of his highlights landed in the lower half of the countdown (spots 6–10) rather than the top five. Still, I consider James’ looming retirement an existential threat to the entire NBA highlight industry.
StatMuse: Highest win% by an active player (min. 500 GP): .726 — Kawhi .670 — Tatum .665 — Draymond .665 — Mitchell .654 — Niang pic.x.com/rokl0cWWWv
Chris Fedor: Kenny Atkinson was with the team in Las Vegas. He spent some time with Evan Mobley and DeAndre Hunter out in Los Angeles. He spent some time with Darius Garland going through the whole um recovery plan with the doctors and stuff like that. Um he went out to see Sam Merrill. He went out to see Donovan Mitchell. He has more freedom to do and he has more of an opportunity to do just based on the the other stuff that that's part of his schedule. He even told me he has watched the rewatched the Indiana series so many different times trying to study that and learn from that.
NBA and NFL broadcaster Taylor Rooks stunned the internet when it was revealed that she has tied the knot with a mystery man named 'Shane'. Images of Rooks looking glamorous in white and smiling in the arms of her new husband were taken by photographer Anni Graham. The veteran NBA reporter also posted a gallery of images to Instagram with the caption, 'What a night. This is love' along with a list of people who helped with her look. A number of high profile celebrities and athletes were present at the wedding ceremony held in New York City. NBA stars Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, and Donovan Mitchell were seen in photos, as was NFL running back Saquon Barkley and musicians Jack Harlow, Coco Jones, and Ella Mai.
Cam Thomas: Nobody sees this when it comes to me tho😂😂😂😂 I’m dead Sharif Phillips-Keaton: I respect Zach Lowe, but I wanted to point out a discovery I made while writing an article on Cam Thomas. Thomas is 1 of 12 guards that averaged 24.0 PPG and 3.8 APG while shooting at least 43.8% from the field last season along with guys like Donovan Mitchell and Stephen Curry.

Proctor received a welcome to Cleveland phone call from Cavs All-NBA guard Donovan Mitchell after the franchise drafted him last month in the second round (No. 49 overall) out of Duke University. “He was just welcoming me,” Proctor said July 7 after a Summer League minicamp practice at Cleveland Clinic Courts. “We had spoken before, but, obviously, when I got my name called, he called me.
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: "But we’re talking about superstars. We’re talking about guys who get teams involved, elevate players, and when my team needs a win — they go get it. I can’t do that with Donovan Mitchell. And I’m 50/50 on Haliburton. He might average 25 and 8, but he’s not consistent. He’s clutch now, sure, but not consistent enough throughout the game. I need someone who shoots consistently, makes plays all game long. He’s getting there — but he’s not quite there yet."

Donovan Mitchell: "I tell people all the time that was the first year in about five years where there was not a question of where is Donovan Mitchell going next. You know what I mean? Like and I was in Utah it was like where's he going next? When I was in Cleveland he wasn't. I was like I'm not staying. Oh, I'm not staying. He's not staying. And then it became like after every win, after every loss, we go on a losing streak. It's like oh this is why he's leaving. You know what I mean? And I think it became it just became a lot. And I didn't realize it in the moment. when you're in it, you don't really notice how much that really like, you know, stresses you in life. And not necessarily always in a bad way, but it's just like it's always on your mind. It's on your teammates's mind. That teammates got to answer these questions. My coach has got to answer these questions. You know, GM, everybody's got to answer the question of like, where's he going? What's he doing? Um, even though I knew I was staying, even though they knew I was staying, it's just still a topic of conversation. You know what I mean? I think for me, just being able to call a place home and be there and want to be there and be like, 'All right, cool. This is this is where I'm at.'"
Donovan Mitchell: "Everybody wants to sacrifice until it's their turn. I think that's the one thing I learned and it's like what are you willing to do to win? You know what I mean? And I think there's growing pains in that, you know what I mean? I think this was a growing pain, you know, losing the way we we did. But looking at the season as a whole, you know, there was a lot of progression in a lot of fronts by a lot of people in our group, you know, and I think and that's something for me and even myself, you know what I mean? I think it's something that, you know, I'm not going to say I, oh, because of me, Evan did this or DG did that. Like, no, they they worked their tails off in their own right to be who they are. But I think for them, for me, them allowing me to lead in that way, I think, was was special, you know what I mean? I think for for me, um, as a leader, you can only lead if guys allow you to, you know what I mean? They could easily just be like, 'No, you're not listening to what you got to say, whatever.' So, I I have the utmost respect for for my teammates in that regard for allowing me to do that."
Donovan Mitchell: "No, because like I'm not brown like you know when there's being like I said it goes back to being comfortable who you were like I'm I'm not going to do it the same way that he did it. You know what I mean? And who knows maybe we get there sit what do you do six times in a row? Maybe we do that sit for the next six years. Maybe we don't like you know what I mean? But my goal is to find ways to you know we're not the LeBron James Kyrie Irving Cavaliers. We do it differently. We do it with Evan. We do it with myself. We do it with DG. We do it with Max. we do with Jay, all the guys on the roster, and it's just different."
Donovan Mitchell: "I always say it — Evan doesn’t even know what he is yet. I’ve seen it in flashes. The Boston series, when I was out — he was him. Defensive Player of the Year at 23. First-Team All-Defense. But offensively? He’s just scratching the surface. He has it. Now, it’s about aggression, consistency, demanding the ball. That’s what I keep telling him: 'No, we need more. Demand it. If I don't pass you the vote, get on my ass. If DJ don't give you the vote, get on his ass. If Ty don't get it to you, get on his ass.' And be okay with that. You know what I mean? And um I think that's something that he's continuing and he's ready for it. I have no doubt."
