Jake Fischer: Being told the Wolves are receiving cash in their three-team deal with Detroit and Chicago that offloads Mike Conley Jr. to the Bulls, and swaps Kevin Huerter and Jaden Ivey. Minnesota very much remains in active pursuit of Giannis Antetokounmpo, sources say.

Shams Charania: Bulls and Pistons have desires met here in a young and veteran guards to Chicago and a sharpshooter goes to Detroit. Minnesota creates significant tax savings and roster space as they pursue a Milwaukee star this week.

Shams Charania: Just in: Chicago, Minnesota and Detroit have agreed to a multi-team deal that sends Jaden Ivey and Mike Conley Jr. to the Bulls and Kevin Huerter and Dario Saric to the Pistons, sources tell ESPN. Detroit also receives a 2026 first-round protected swap from Minnesota.

According to league sources, the Pistons’ stance of being opportunistic as opposed to aggressive remains unchanged with the trade deadline on Thursday. It appears unlikely the Pistons will make any major moves before the deadline. Rather than making calls to gauge the value of its own players, Detroit is doing its due diligence in answering incoming queries. The Pistons are young and exceeding expectations for the second straight season, so there’s a desire to find the ceiling of this group without feeling obligated to shake up the core.

Marc Stein: NBA commissioner Adam Silver has named Toronto’s Darko Rajaković as head coach for Team World in next weekend’s All-Star Game. Detroit’s J.B. Bickerstaff and San Antonio’s Mitch Johnson will coach the two USA teams. The full roster breakdown will be announced later today.

Brendan Vogt: Christian Braun has been upgraded to questionable for tomorrow night’s game in Detroit. Aaron Gordon and Cam Johnson are still out.

Law Murray: The Brooklyn Nets report that Michael Porter Jr. will be available for Tuesday night vs Los Angeles Lakers. Porter missed the last two games, including a 53-point lashing in Detroit. Brooklyn also upgraded Noah Clowney (back) and Ziaire Williams (calf) to probable.

The more Cunningham continues to come into his own, the further Detroit’s ceiling continues to climb. It all boils down to the way he calculates coverages. “He’s a student of the game. He’s got a high level of IQ. And he understands how to make teams pay for whatever is in front of him,” Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff said Friday. “And he can do it in real time. A lot of guys can’t recognize it in the moment as it’s happening, as teams change their coverages. Cade has the ability to take a snapshot quickly, find where his outlets are, and make decisions where he can be aggressive.”

Will Guillory: Herb Jones (right ankle sprain) has been upgraded to questionable for tomorrow's game at Detroit. He's missed 14 of the last 15 games.

Jayson Tatum took the floor for a 45-minute workout in front of more than a half-dozen reporters at Seaholm High School, a school located in a northern suburb of Detroit, where the Celtics held a shootaround ahead of Monday night’s primetime game against the Pistons. Tatum began his morning with some form of shooting from various spots on the court, then went through various, more active shooting drills: getting threes off of screens, practicing off-the-dribble pull-ups, and driving to the basket for dunks and layups with defensive pressure. He seemed to demonstrate an increased level of explosion, shot efficiently from various spots on the court, and got to his usual spots in the midrange.

Jalen Duren, whose biceps are the size of thighs, might be the only player listed at 6-foot-10 who could be accurately described that way. The realization comes at an opportune time for the soon-to-be restricted free agent. Duren was eligible for an extension this past summer, but he and the Pistons were so far apart on numbers that the two sides never even got into negotiations, league sources said. Duren sought a max contract. Detroit didn’t believe doling out so much money before its starting center proved himself more would be prudent. Duren will enter the upcoming summer with a stronger argument for a payday — not just because of individual improvement, but also because of how he fits into an up-and-coming culture.
Richard Jefferson: Give me your top two game winners and why. Robert Horry: Western Conference final against Sacramento Kings. Jefferson: Oh, that was a beautiful one. Horry: Just because it was done at home and the every athlete has an ego, so you want to hear the fans chant your name. And of course the second half of Game 5 in the 2005 Finals against Detroit.
