Lou Williams: I want to put you on the hot seat. With all things considered, obviously AD is traded away now. Should the Mavs have kept Luka at this point? Devin Harris: That’s such a hard question. I will say, even after the trade and everything went down, that game against Houston, for those first 15 minutes of that game, and watching everything go down, I’m looking like, “Oh my God, we could win this championship.” That’s how dominant it looked. So at that point, I saw the vision that Nico had. In that moment, I was like, “Okay, this could really work out really well for us.” Obviously, he got hurt, I think, like two minutes later, and then we didn’t see him again for another couple weeks. It just kind of went down from there. But in hindsight, yes. If you’re looking at it, we probably should have kept him, absolutely. I mean, we’re talking about a top-five player.
There’s some speculation that Jason Kidd might go front office. Would he do that, or do you think he remains coach? Devin Harris: I think it intrigues him, but with Cooper being in the stage that he’s in, in the development process, I think he would rather remain as coach and just continue that development and that connection that they have there.
Mike Curtis: Asked Rick Carlisle about the value of elite PGs given the absence of Tyrese Haliburton & Kyrie Irving this season for both teams: "There's no substitute for playmakers. In Dallas, we had a lot of success over a 13-year period with Jason Kidd, (JJ) Barea & Devin Harris, who's sitting right here. It's just so important to have guys who can make plays & can score, but can also control the game. They can help a team play both fast & be able to work the game a little bit when necessary."
Mike Curtis: The #Mavs and the Mavs Foundation will unveil a brand new tech center at The Bridge Homeless Recovery Center tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. Devin Harris will be in attendance.
Bobby Marks: The poison pill restriction streak continues. The last time a player who signed a rookie extension and was traded: 2008- Devin Harris➡️Dallas to New Jersey

Brad Townsend: Jacque Vaughn to Devin Harris: “I could use you tonight.” Harris: “I could give you 10 minutes.” All joking aside, Nets are low on bodies tonight. Good night for Doncic to sit out, which I expect to be the case.
Brad Townsend: Mavs teammates who are scheduled to attend @swish41's @Hoophall induction: Steve Nash, Michael Finley, Devin Harris and from the 2011 title team: Jason Kidd, Jason Terry, Tyson Chandler, Shawn Marion, Brian Cardinal, Roddy Beaubois, Ian Mahinmi and Caron Butler.
Adrian Wojnarowski: The Jazz and Knicks can still find a pathway on a Donovan Mitchell trade, but it's just harder to do: Out of 179 NBA players who've had the Poison Pill restriction, only one -- Devin Harris in 2008 -- was traded.
Justin Kubatko: Kyrie Irving is the only @Brooklyn Nets player to record multiple games with at least 45 points, five rebounds, and five assists since the team joined the NBA for the 1976-77 season. Devin Harris, 36, said he is weighing several NBA options, none of which are Dallas, but, more important, “enjoying fatherhood.” Harris said it will take “the right opportunity” for him to return for a 16th NBA season.
“In Madison Square Garden I don’t think there is anything I would love more than that,” Smith said of the thought of playing against his former team. “To be honest, I really don’t think there is anything I would love more than that. I’m still good friends with everybody on that team, like I just did (Dorian Finney-Smith’s) camp, Luka calls me every other week, I just did the baseball game with (Devin Harris) and Dirk, you know all the older guys, I’m still friends with everybody on that team. But, you know I love to compete, so any chance I get to bust that ass, you know I’m good for it.”
