Stefan Bondy: Trey Jemison III’s contract will be guaranteed as the Knicks are holding on to him past today’s deadline, a league source says. Jemison is on a two-way deal. Another Knick on a two-way deal, Tosan Evbuomwan, will be waived, according to @IanBegley

Ian Begley: Knicks and Trey Jemison III have reached agreement on a two-way contact, per SNY sources. Jemison III, a 6-11 270-pound big man, gives the Knicks added front-court depth. Knicks will enter training camp with one open two-way spot. Kevin McCullar Jr. is expected to come back on a two-way. Teams can carry a maximum of 3 players on two-way deals.

Ian Begley: Veteran shooter Matt Ryan is on Knicks’ radar for a deal ahead of training camp, per SNY sources. Ryan was with New York last season. Dennis Smith Jr. played well in informal scrimmages today with other Knicks. Club is finalizing training camp invites/decisions. Big man Alex Len is also on NYK radar for a deal. He played well in workout today. Trey Jemison III remains on club’s radar as well

Los Angeles is expected to keep both Trey Jemison III and Christian Koloko for next season. Jemison has a second year left on the two-year two-way deal he signed with the Lakers last season. Koloko is a restricted free agent, and the Lakers could bring him back on another two-way contract.

Khobi Price: When asked why two-way big men Trey Jemison or Christian Koloko weren't converted to standard contracts in light of Alex Len's lack of playing time, Rob Pelinka said LAL thought Alex was a "good player who deserved to be on our roster," and JJ Redick makes the decision who plays.

Dave McMenamin: Lakers two-way players Trey Jemison III and Christian Koloko were not converted to full fledge NBA contracts before the regular season ended, so they are ineligible to play in the playoffs. However, both practiced with the team today and will be with the team for the playoff run.

A player on a two-way contract is ineligible for the playoffs. L.A. has until April 13, the last day of the regular season, to convert Goodwin or Jemison's contract to a standard NBA deal to have them available for the postseason. But the Lakers already have all 15 roster spots filled, so it would involve waiving a player to make it happen. Cam Reddish would be an obvious choice after falling out of the rotation, even with Rui Hachimura sitting out weeks because of a knee injury. He was already traded to the Charlotte Hornets this season before the Mark Williams deal was rescinded.

Freeing up the other spot is trickier. L.A. signed 7-footer Alex Len to its final roster spot last month, and Len turned down interest from the Indiana Pacers to come, sources told ESPN. Thus far, he has been used sparingly by Redick, with the coach turning to Jemison in backup center minutes behind Jaxson Hayes during L.A.'s recent eight-game winning streak.
