Looney, who signed a two-year free-agent contract with the New Orleans Pelicans last week, joined Marcus Thompson II on the "Warriors Plus/Minus" podcast and shared how he felt a bit slighted by some of Warriors coach Steve Kerr's rotation decisions, including the choice to play then-rookie Quinten Post over him, particularly in the playoffs. "I guess," Looney said when Thompson II asked him if Post was the final straw for him. "I wouldn't say it like that, but it was anybody but me it seemed like at this point. It wasn't no one moment. Even this year, probably the playoffs. We going up against Steven Adams. This is what I do. They're not really giving me the chance to really let me do what I do. "It's like, 'All right, y'all don't trust me? I thought y'all trusted me.' They put me at the end in Game 7, it's like why'd we have to wait for that point?"
Although he’s an avid online player, Rose doesn’t keep track of his rating. “I’m a baller,” he joked. “Get me on the board, I might win. I got a jankiness to my game.” Rose isn’t alone in his passion. Chess holds widespread popularity throughout the NBA — as evidenced by Sunday’s event, which featured current and former players such as Quinten Post and Tony Snell. But this shared passion also had a strange aura around it, almost cultish, as Rose described. For instance, former Bulls teammate Drew Gooden is an avid chess player, yet he never mentioned it while he shared a locker room with Rose. So why don’t NBA players talk about chess? “I have no idea,” Rose said with a laugh.
Dalton Johnson: Quinten Post is not on the Warriors’ summer league roster. He will not be playing summer league for the Warriors anymore I’m told, but likely will be around the team working out @NBCSWarriors

Michael Scotto: Just In: The Golden State Warriors will exercise the $1.96 million team option on Quinten Post, league sources told @hoopshype . Post averaged 8.1 points, including shooting 40.8 percent from 3-point range, and 3.5 rebounds in 16.3 minutes per game for the Warriors.
Anthony Slater: The Warriors will exercise their team options on Gui Santos and Quinten Post for next season, per source. Santos is on the books for $2.2 million (non-guaranteed) and Post at $1.9 million. Pair of late second round picks who have made a rotation impact.

My question to you, QP, is: what’s on Quinton Post’s to-do list this summer to get better as a basketball player? Quinten Post: I’ve mainly just been in the weight room. I definitely want to get stronger for next year—try to put some mass on. Especially in the playoffs, you know, you play against some really physical teams. The game gets a little more physical, and those are definitely points I want to improve.
Shams Charania: The Warriors are expected to also place rookie center Quinten Post into the starting lineup tonight against the Rockets, joining Draymond Green and Kuminga in the frontcourt, sources said.
Dalton Johnson: Quinten Post on how the Rockets guard Steph Curry: “What I do know is they aren’t going to hold Steph to 3 points again. I know that for a fact.”
Ohm Youngmisuk: Steve Kerr shortened his rotation and did not play Jonathan Kuminga and Gui Santos. Quinten Post played 10 minutes. On Kuminga and Santos, Kerr said both have been impactful and players and “It doesn’t mean they’re out of the loop (for rest of season).”
Anthony Slater: Gary Payton II and Quinten Post are active tonight in Portland. They’ve both missed the previous two games.

Several Warriors players objected to Morant’s gesture, with Draymond Green saying something to a referee and Steph Curry visibly pointing at Morant and Quinten Post seen with a shocked face behind other Warriors players. (Hield himself dropped the gesture and pointed at Morant, too.) Referees assessed technical fouls to both Hield and Morant, which kept the end of the game moving without any stoppage.
