Anthony Slater: Kristaps Porzingis is out tonight in Atlanta with lower back tightness. Jonathan Kuminga is off the injury report and cleared to face the Warriors. Questionable: Draymond Green, De’Anthony Melton, Gary Payton II, Quinten Post.

Kevin Chouinard: Serbia's KK Crvena Zevzda announced that they have signed Nikola Djurisic through 2027-28. He will be on loan to KK Mega, for whom he played before Atlanta, for the remainder of this season.

Courtside Buzz: HAWKS WIN AN NBA-BEST 10 STRAIGHT GAMES! Nickeil Alexander Walker had a career-high 41 Points on 9/14 3PM & Jalen Johnson registered a 24/15/13 triple-double in Atlanta’s 124-112 WIN vs. Orlando! NAW: 41 PTS, 7 REB, 5 AST, 2 STL, 12/21 FGM, 9/14 3PM, 37 MIN Johnson: 24 PTS, 15 REB, 13 AST, 10/19 FGM, 2/6 3PM Hawks are now 37-31, 8th in the East & 1.0 GB from the Miami Heat who are in the last playoff spot before the play-in!

What all that means, in the short term, is that the Hawks can chase wins in March and April without worrying about the draft lottery in May. Which is certainly refreshing amid all of this season's tanking talk. It also puts them in the privileged position to prioritize Johnson's development as opposed to trying to make a trade run at Giannis Antetokounmpo. Atlanta would have been a natural trade partner for Milwaukee given the control that the Hawks have over the Bucks' top selections in the next two drafts, but league sources say that Atlanta has always viewed the notion of trading the 24-year-old Jalen Johnson for Antetokounmpo to be a complete non-starter.

Eric Nehm: The Bucks have submitted their injury report for Saturday's game in Atlanta. Out: Alex Antetokounmpo (two-way) Cormac Ryan (two-way) Questionable: Giannis Antetokounmpo (right calf injury management) Ousmane Dieng (illness) Kevin Porter Jr. (right knee synovitis)

Lou Williams: Even when I had my situation, as far as the bubble goes, people’s imaginations ran wild, and they made it about strippers and throwing money and this and that. I’ve said time and time again on my platform, that’s not my experience. That’s not what I’m there to do. Now, have I thrown my fair share of wands over time? Of course I have. But now it’s more so like this is my extended friends and family. That’s somewhere I go frequent, and there are a lot of regulars that do the same thing that I do, so we see it different.” And let’s never forget how amazing the kitchen is.” Host: “I was going to say, that’s what you really go for — to eat.” Lou Williams: “Let’s also not forget how the merch play. Atlanta and Magic City, whether you like it or not, Magic City is a landmark in Atlanta. Whether you agree with it or not, it is a landmark. Whether you never step foot in there or whether you frequent there, you’ve heard of Magic City, and it’s part of your conversation when you come to Atlanta.”

Lou Williams: I think people got to understand Atlanta is a multi-layered, multifaceted, multicultural place. We celebrate a lot of different cultures. We celebrate a lot of different things that may not make sense to people outside of Atlanta, Georgia.” We kind of operate on our own happiness and our own things that we see fit.” Now, this is what I know about Magic City: it’s a Black-owned business. It’s a family-ran business, and everybody gets treated with respect when you walk in the door, if you carry yourself with respect. A lot of people love Magic City and adore and champion Magic City because of what I just said, because of how you get treated. What your experience is inside that building is going to be tailor-made to what you into.”
Young was the franchise pillar for the better part of 8 seasons here in Atlanta, and he leaves behind a résumé as good as any player since Dominique Wilkins himself. Wilkins can also empathize closely with being traded away from a franchise so key to one’s own identity. Wilkins spoke on the trade, saying that, “sometimes in life, things don’t work out, and it’s time. We all have been through it. I’ve been through it, and it’s nobody’s fault. It’s just the way the business is running, how it’s done. Trae was a tremendous player in an Atlanta Hawks jersey. No one could ever take that from him. What he did was very special.”

In his Atlanta debut on Tuesday, Jonathan Kuminga threw down thunderous dunks, knocked down 3-pointers and spent much of the night smiling in a 119-98 rout of the Washington Wizards. Kuminga finished with a season-high 27 points -- a far cry from the ending to his tenure in Golden State, where the high-flying forward fell out of favor with coach Steve Kerr. "It was great," said Kuminga, who also had seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. "I was excited to be out there with the guys."

“I just wanted the Hawks fans to know how much I love and appreciate them …,” Young said. “Getting drafted, obviously the (draft night) trade … I still found a way to make a name for myself, make a name for my team and try to put this city on the map where people were talking about us. You can’t do that without the fans. The fans showed us so much love throughout the years that I was here, even the years that we was down. It felt like there was still a lot of love. So, I’ve got so much love for this city and these fans.”

After an episode in the NBA, where he was a member of Atlanta, talented Serbian basketball player Nikola Đurišić is on the verge of cooperating with the red and whites, Meridian Sport has learned . As soon as the parting was certain, the president of the club from Mali Kalemegdan, Željko Drčelić, went all out to get Mega's former student, who gave the green light and is expected to sign a contract with the team that has been in his heart since childhood. Details will be known perhaps tomorrow.

Marc Stein: The Nets are scheduled to take off soon from Atlanta for New York ... with the Mavericks expected to fly from Indianapolis to NYC in the noon range. Brooklyn hosts Dallas tonight at 7:30 PM ... with both teams traveling on gameday due to the blizzard conditions in the Northeast.

The blizzard is affecting everyone in New York, especially those trying to get home. The Nets, who blew a late lead in a loss at Atlanta on Sunday night, were unable to fly back after the game or on Monday morning due to the historic snowstorm, a source confirmed to The Post. With the snow still coming down in the city, the Nets practiced in Atlanta on Monday and planned to fly out Tuesday morning — just hours before they face the Mavericks at Barclays Center at 7:30 p.m.
