The College Park Skyhawks announced two trades on Thursday. The team acquired the returning player rights to Giorgi Bezhanishvili, Nik Stauskas, and a 2022 first round pick in the NBA G League Draft from the Grand Rapids Gold in exchange for the returning player rights to Justin Tillman. College Park then acquired the returning player rights to forward Chris Silva from the Iowa Wolves in exchange for Nik Stauskas.

Dane Moore: The Timberwolves have acquired Nik Stauskas, per team release. The Timberwolves will have Stauskas's G-League rights, via their G-League affiliate the Iowa Wolves. Would assume this means Stauskas can participate in Timberwolves training camp.

The Pacers currently have $26.4 million in cap space so they need to make some moves to generate the $30.9 million needed to sign Ayton to a maximum contract. According to Wojnarowski, the Pacers plan on doing that by waiving Duane Washington, who is non-guaranteed, and waiving-and-stretching Nik Stauskas, Juwan Morgan, and Malik Fitts. Washington’s contract is non-guaranteed, so waiving him opens up $1.6 million. Stauskas, Morgan, and Fitts, all of whom were brought over from Boston in the Malcolm Brogdon trade, had their guarantees increased to all but $86,988 of their full salary amounts. By stretching their cap hits over the next three seasons, the Pacers will have $31.9 million in cap space.

The Pacers and Celtics announced their trade Saturday, sending veteran point guard Malcolm Brogdon from Indiana to Boston in exchange for a 2023 first-round pick and five players: Nik Stauskas, Daniel Theis, Aaron Nesmith, former IU star Juwan Morgan and Malik Fitts. However, a league source told IndyStar on Sunday that the Pacers are waiting for Brogdon to pass a physical so the trade can become official and Nesmith can become eligible for Indiana's Summer League team in Las Vegas. Nesmith attended the Pacers' Summer League opener against Charlotte on Friday and sat courtside at Thomas & Mack Center with his new teammates Jalen Smith, Tyrese Haliburton and Oshae Brissett.
