Jake Fischer: For Malcolm Brogdon—I don’t think Milwaukee is still a landing spot for him, especially after they brought in Cole Anthony on a buyout from Memphis. But teams like: Sacramento New Orleans Minnesota Golden State ...still have plenty of interest in Brogdon.
Shams Charania: Portland traded Damian Lillard for Jrue Holiday, Toumani Camara, and assets in 2023 -- then Holiday to Boston for Robert Williams III, Malcolm Brogdon and assets. Now, the Blazers have both Lillard and Holiday, plus Williams, Camara, a 2029 first-rounder and two Bucks swaps.
League sources say that the Wizards are open to sign-and-trade discussions to facilitate Malcolm Brogdon's exit from Washington and a slew of teams have registered varying levels of interest in the 32-year-old. That list includes the Clippers, Suns and Lakers as well as the Warriors, Timberwolves, Pelicans, Kings and Bucks.
Michael Scotto: If Bradley Beal agrees to a Suns buyout, Clippers may have interest but only have $5.3M of the non-tax MLE to use. Malcolm Brogdon and Chris Paul have also drawn free agency interest from LA. Clippers get John Collins on an expiring $26.58M deal as Norman Powell goes to the Heat
Jake Fischer: The Kings are also planning to meet with Malcolm Brogdon, per sources, among their other point guard options. Doesn't have to be, but the Wizards are willing to help facilitate a sign-and-trade with Brogdon, sources say.

Kyrie Irving's acceptance of a three-year, $119 million contract -- taking a pay cut for this season after declining his $43 million player option -- allowed the Mavericks to maintain access to the $5.7 million taxpayer midlevel exception. The plan for that slot is to sign a lead guard who can start while Irving recovers from his torn left ACL and transition to a key reserve role upon the nine-time All-Star's return. Candidates include D'Angelo Russell, Malcolm Brogdon, Chris Paul and Tyus Jones, sources said. (The Mavs had interest in Dennis Schroder, but he is expected to command a significantly higher salary.)
Sources say that the Kings, furthermore, are believed to be weighing a run at an additional veteran ballhandler such as Russell Westbrook or Malcolm Brogdon even if they succeed in sealing a deal with Schröder.
The Mavs are expected to open up the $5.7 million taxpayer midlevel exception by signing Irving to this deal, sources said. Potential targets for that salary slot would have included Dennis Schroder, D'Angelo Russell, Chris Paul and Malcolm Brogdon, sources said.
Malcolm Brogdon, who appeared in 24 games last season, is now an unrestricted free agent and is not expected to return, sources told RG. Among the teams being monitored as potential landing spots for Brogdon are the Dallas Mavericks, who are expected to pursue a veteran guard to help manage minutes while Kyrie Irving recovers from a torn ACL.
Rival teams suspect the Bucks will end up in the tax but keep their payroll below the $196 million first apron, which would open their ability to access more of the $14 million midlevel exception. They might need a large chunk of it for a starting point guard in place of Lillard, with the candidates including free agents such as Dennis Schroder, Tyus Jones and Malcolm Brogdon.

If Lopez is re-signed, Milwaukee doesn't have many realistic options to get under the tax. If he enters free agency, the Bucks can easily avoid it. Sources said the franchise is prepared to once again enter the tax after spending more than $200 million in luxury tax alone over the past few seasons -- more than every team but the Golden State Warriors, LA Clippers, Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns since 2012, per Spotrac. Sacramento has continued to evaluate its point guard options, according to league sources. New general manager Scott Perry, remember, immediately highlighted the Kings' need for improved playmaking during his introductory press conference and sources have duly linked Sacramento to various guards known to be available this summer. That list includes Jrue Holiday in Boston and Marcus Smart in Washington ... and stretches to more affordable free agent ballhandlers like Malcolm Brogdon.
In a recent appearance on The Third Apron podcast with Yossi Gozlan, The Athletic's Law Murray talked about the LA Clippers offseason. Murray suggested that free agent guard Malcolm Brogdon could be a primary target for the Clippers this summer. "I would consider Brogdon a primary target for the Clippers," Murray said "They almost traded (for him previously). I think if Brogdon would have been a buyout guy, I think the Clippers would have considered him along with Ben Simmons."
Bobby Manning: Mazzulla on two Celtics winning 6MOY of the year recently: "It's a tough thing coming off the bench, especially for Malcolm, who was a starter ... it's tough for Payton too ... when you have a locker room like those guys, you want to do stuff for the guy next to you."
