Andy Kohlberg and Scott Seldin, the two Phoenix Suns and Mercury minority owners who sued majority owner Mat Ishbia and the organization in August, dismissed their lawsuit in Delaware court Friday. But they intend to file another lawsuit over what their attorney says is “mismanagement” by Ishbia, the franchises’ governor.

The Philadelphia 76ers made the trip down I-95 to their G League affiliate's facility in Delaware for their annual Blue X White scrimmage. It's a free event for fans to see their favorite players go at it in a team scrimmage and for them to interact with them. A sight to see was the return of Joel Embiid who has been practicing with the Sixers, but he hasn't played publicly for the fans since Feb. 22. That is when the big fella realized the knee pain was to much for him to handle and he was ruled out for the rest of the season before then undergoing knee surgery in April.
This dunk by Joel Embiid was impressive in today’s scrimmage. Flashes to the post, loses Andre Drummond on the pump fake, and finishes with a slam. #Sixers pic.twitter.com/ZFoNiKwfkr

Blake Murphy: Raptors 905 are acquiring the rights to Patrick McCaw and a 1st-round pick from Delaware for the rights to Kennedy Chandler. McCaw has continued winning at the G League level, basically being a positionless super-vet for those teams.
Evan Turner, who played in the NBA from 2010 to 2020, has defeated his former agent, David Falk, in a breach of contract dispute decided by a Delaware judge last Friday. Delaware Superior Court Judge Patricia A. Winston granted Turner’s motion for summary judgment in a case that turned on whether Turner had to pay Falk a share of proceeds from his sale of stock from an endorsement deal with Chinese shoe company Li-Ning.

Veteran bookmakers and professional bettors have been tracking unusual betting activity on college basketball games dating to last season, gambling industry sources told ESPN. Sportsbook sources in the U.S. and offshore pointed to suspicious betting on the first half of a Jan. 9 game involving North Carolina A&T and Delaware. The point spread on the first half moved from Delaware -2 to -3.5. The point spread on the full game closed at -4.5. First-half lines typically are equal to or around 50% of the full-game point spread.

Zulfi Sheikh: The Toronto Raptors have assigned Jamal Shead to the 905. Raptors don't play again until Monday so it looks like they're getting Shead some run with the G League squad. A major boost for the 905 who play on the road tonight in Delaware.

Adam Aaronson: Joel Embiid getting a good workout in here in Delaware before the Sixers' Blue X White Scrimmage. Jared McCain and Tyrese Maxey are also here getting shots up.

The lawsuit alleges that Delaware-based Phinge has been using the trademark “Netverse” since 2021 for its mobile, tablet, and laptop devices, and it has been preparing to offer a virtual reality version of it called “Netaverse” since December 2022. Phinge filed for a “Netverse” trademark in September 2019 and received approval for it four years later. The company applied for a “Netaverse” trademark in 2023, which is still pending, according to the lawsuit, which also alleges unfair competition. The Nets applied for its own “Netaverse” trademark in January 2022 and, shortly after, began promoting it as a virtual reality platform to view games, which Phinge alleges was in direct violation of its trademark.

Noah Levick: Sixers have officially signed Kai Jones. He’s been assigned to the Blue Coats and will be available for Delaware’s game tonight vs. Birmingham, team official says.

Noah Levick: Sixers have transferred their two-way players to the Blue Coats, per team official. Terquavion Smith, Kenneth Lofton Jr., Ricky Council IV are all in Atlanta (they were at shootaround this morning); Delaware visits the College Park Skyhawks tonight.

Walker was named to the All-Tournament team, along with Westchester guard Brandon Goodwin (the MVP), Delaware’s Darius Bazley, Osceola’s Trevelin Queen and Raptors 905’s Jontay Porter. Queen and Porter are already on two-ways, but Goodwin is a free agent who can be signed by anyone, making him one of the few players of genuine immediate interest to talent evaluators. An undersized guard who is no longer two-way eligible because he has four years of NBA experience, he is likely to be a popular target once 10-day contracts can be signed Jan. 5, especially after showing more passing chops in Orlando than we’d seen in his previous NBA stops.

Austin Krell: Jaden Springer has been assigned to Delaware, the Sixers announce. 2023 G League Winter Showcase runs Dec. 19 to Dec. 22.
