A planned 226-acre golf course — said to be developed by NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan — is still in the works. A second proposal has been submitted after county staff members said the first failed to meet all county regulations. The proposal is for an exclusive 18-hole course east of Interstate 95 and north of Bridge Road in Hobe Sound. The former citrus land is vacant.
Kilpatrick’s mind raced as fast as his wheels up I-95. “I had a little giddy up on the highway,” Kilpatrick, now a starter for the Brooklyn Nets, remembered. “I kept telling myself, if I get pulled over by the cops, I’m gonna tell ‘em the reason why.” He sped north unscathed, likely covering the 134 miles between the Bob Carpenter Center and The Garden in record time. Traffic only slowed Kilpatrick once he approached Times Square.
A source suggested this summer that, with their salary cap space this year and next (about $16 million below currently), the Wiz (just down I-95 from Baltimore, where Carmelo grew up) could be the biggest player for him next off-season as a free agent, if not this one via trade.
The South Florida-based manager for Dennis Rodman said this morning that his client is "fine" after a car Rodman was riding in flipped at least three times on I-95 in Broward County this weekend. "He called me right after it happened," the manager said. "He was going to the hospital, but he said he was OK. It was just Dennis being Dennis." Celebrity gossip website TMZ first reported the car accident, in which Rodman and a female companion were passengers, last night. Neither Rodman, who lives in South Florida, nor the lady friend were hurt, though the driver of the green Range Rover had head injuries.
