Two days after losing to the Blazers, the Lakers were back at their facility for a practice. Pelinka informed the players a special guest would be coming through. He’d created a program called the Genius Series, where he’d bring in luminaries from various fields—Dwayne “The Rock’’ Johnson, Kendrick Lamar, Elon Musk—to address the team. For this day, he’d secured an A-lister: Will Smith, just six months removed from slapping Chris Rock during the 94th Academy Awards. The team gathered in the film room to review the Blazers game. Ham was tough on the group, highlighting all sorts of mistakes that had led to the 0-3 start. When the session concluded, Pelinka came by. He’d already shown Smith the practice court—they shot free throws together—and Jeanie Buss’s office. Now, he told the players, Smith was on his way to them. When Pelinka and Ham left to fetch him, LeBron, seated in a middle row, stood up. Y’all got this, he said. He stormed out a back door. Shit, man, Davis said. He stood and followed LeBron out.

Some speculated it had something to do with Curry's close relationship with hip-hop icon Drake, whom Lamar dissed during a heated music feud last year, or if it was simply just Curry being agitated by how often and overplayed the song had become. Almost exactly one year later, Curry explained his viral reaction to the song in that moment during a recent interview with Complex's Speedy Morman. "It was both," Curry admitted. "Everywhere we went, that's all I heard. And the fact that they knew who I was with. You can't do anything about what the DJ's playing. But I got sick of it at a certain point. "It was funny that the cameras caught me because that was from the soul."

At a show, Drake had Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's jersey tattooed on his arm. It replaced LeBron James' old high school jersey that was previously on the musician's arm. You can research it yourself, but Drake and James have beefed over the last year because the latter supported Kendrick Lamar.

“You got so many kids, man. You might lose count. He going for one more!” Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: “You should see me when all of them are sitting in one spot and I’m trying to talk to just one of them. I end up calling them every other name except the one I meant. It’s crazy. I’ll be like, ‘Kendrick... Kenzo...’—but I’m trying to talk to KJ. Tristan Da Silva: And they all start with a K too. Every one of them. My daughter’s name starts with a K. All of them: Kenzo, KJavius Jr., Kendrick, Kindle, Knowledge.
Jeff Teague on Kendrick Lamar selling out two nights in Toronto: Two nights. I mean, fans are fans. But to sell out two nights in Toronto when Drake is there… That's tough. Drake is Toronto.

Ahead of Game 3 of the series on Wednesday night, Adam Silver addressed the criticisms of the lack of decals on the broadcast during an appearance on the NBA Countdown pregame show, explaining that physical on-court decals have largely been a thing of the past for years now. “I’ve seen some of the chatter on social media about on-court decals,” said Silver. People don’t realize, they went away a decade ago. Because there were claims, Kendrick knows…they were slippery when we had the decals on the court. So we’re back to adding them virtually.”

Kevin Durant did not appear to be all that impressed with Kendrick Lamar's performance at the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show or the game itself. When asked by Dana Scott of The Arizona Republic on Monday for his thoughts about the halftime show, Durant responded, "It meant nothing to me." “It was a pretty boring day,” Durant added. “The game was a little… yeah, the game got out of hand.”

KD said he "didn't pay attention" to Kendrick's performance and "kind of skimmed through the whole thing." Funny enough, that's the same way Drake said he listened to Future and Metro Boomin’s collab albums, We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You, on the diss track, "Family Matters."

LeBron James was most recently spotted back in France just hours ago ... hitting up the La Guerite beach club to keep the party going. Check out the clip -- James and Green are clearly fans of the DJ's playlist ... vibing to Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Sheck Wes, Tyla and even Shakira!!
