Sometimes the cell phone problem requires a forced break. Annually, about two weeks before the NBA Draft, the Utah Jazz ownership takes its executives on a weekend retreat to an Idaho ranch that exists away from cell phone towers. Dennis Lindsey, the team’s general manager, hesitated when he was first told of the tradition, but he’s now grateful for the 48-hour reprieve.
