Marc Stein: The Heat’s @nbagleague affiliate in Sioux Falls has claimed former NBA lottery pick Dennis Smith Jr. after his recent release by the Wisconsin Herd, league sources say.
Former Alabama All-American Mark Sears has returned to the Wisconsin Herd of the NBA Gatorade League after being waived by the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks. The Herd announced Sears’ signing on Saturday, and he had 12 points and seven assists as the starting point guard in a 104-94 loss to the Westchester Knicks on Saturday night.

Point guard Dennis Smith Jr. is headed to the Wisconsin Herd, the G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks per sources. The move comes shortly after the 27-year-old guard was waived by the Dallas Mavericks last month. Sources say that Smith is scheduled to report to the team next week.
