Former NBA wing Troy Brown Jr. is heading overseas for the first time in his career, landing with Turkish club Manisa Basket, according to an announcement from the team (Twitter link).

Kendra Andrews: The Warriors will be working out veteran Troy Brown Jr. this week as part of a few vet workouts, a source tells ESPN. Brown spent one season with the Lakers in 2022/23 and has time with the Timberwolves last year. Golden State has two partial non-guarantee contracts available.

The Detroit Pistons will not guarantee the $4 million owed to Troy Brown Jr. and will waive him. Brown had a guarantee date of June 30th and will become an unrestricted free agent.

Thoughts on the departing Timberwolves Troy Brown Jr.: Just a terrific dude. Personable, great team guy. He wasn't in the rotation, but didn't pout about that. I still think he can help a team in the right role. Shake Milton: The Wolves LOVED what they saw from him in training camp and preseason. I really don't know why it didn't translate to the regular season. As far as a person, though, another great one. Kind-hearted and warm. Wish him the best.
