Former Pelicans player Jared Harper signed for 2022-23 with Spanish team Valencia Basket.
JD Shaw: Source: Free agent guard Jared Harper has agreed to a deal with Valencia Basket in Spain. Harper owns NBA experience with the Suns, Knicks and Pelicans. He made an All-NBA G League team in his last two campaigns, averaging 21.2 points and 7.2 assists on 50% shooting last season.

In addition to the returning player rights to Harper, the Skyforce has received the Birmingham Squadron’s first round pick in the upcoming 2022 NBA G League Draft. The Squadron has received the returning player rights to Javonte Smart and the Skyforce’s third round pick in the 2022 NBA G League Draft. Sioux Falls received Motor City’s first round pick in the 2023 NBA G League Draft in addition to the returning rights to Diallo, as well. The Cruise received the returning player rights to Micah Potter and the Skyforce’s second round pick in the 2023 NBA G League Draft.

The New Orleans Pelicans announced today that the team has signed guard Jared Harper from the team’s G League affiliate, the Birmingham Squadron, to a two-way contract. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. In a related move, the Pelicans waived two-way player Daulton Hommes.
