Shams Charania: Free agent forward Gary Harris has agreed to a two-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks, with a player option on the second season, sources tell ESPN. Bucks continue to fortify the roster with a veteran wing who played key rotation roles for playoff teams in Denver and Orlando.
Michael Scotto: Just In: The Orlando Magic have declined team options for Gary Harris ($7.5 million) and Cory Joseph ($3.47 million) for the 2025-26 season as part of the Desmond Bane trade, league sources told @hoopshype .
“I love Orlando,” Harris said. “My kids love it here. It’s been great to be a part of what we’ve been building here in this city, but you know how the league is. There’s a lot uncertain. You never know what’s going to happen. “So all I can do is control what I can, continue to put the work in [and] stay ready for whatever the future may hold,” he added. “But I definitely love my time here in Orlando, so we’ll see if it continues.”
“We did a lot of good things in that first half and [we’re] just trying to recreate some of those things looking at ways we can attack their switching,” veteran guard Gary Harris told the Sentinel after practice Tuesday. “Understanding [we need to] take out some of those 3s from Derrick White and [Payton] Pritchard. They hit some bigs 3s. “I know we did a good job on [Jayson] Tatum, [Jaylen] Brown and [Kristaps] Porzingis for the most part but [we need to] continue to just fly around, scramble and take away those 3s because those 3s were hurting us, especially after the turnovers in transition.”
