Tony East: Cody Martin, who played for the Pacers on a hardship contract in November, is back in the Pacers organization. The Noblesville Boom just traded a 2026 first-round pick, a 2027 second-round pick, and the rights to Kaiden Rice to acquire Martin from the Capital City Go-Go.

Keith Smith: Cody Martin's hardship 10 Day contract with the Indiana Pacers expired today. The Pacers can sign Martin to second hardship 10 Day contract, if they choose.

Michael Scotto: Just In: The Indiana Pacers plan to sign Cody Martin to a deal, league sources told @hoopshype. Martin has averaged 6.2 points in six NBA seasons with the Charlotte Hornets and Phoenix Suns. Martin will be signed with a hardship exception.
We've reported previously that Seth Curry and Malcolm Brogdon are candidates for a Warriors roster spot after Kuminga's situation is resolved and the above three signings are completed. Another name on the Warriors' list of bench targets, sources say, is Cody Martin.

Duane Rankin: Phoenix Suns closer to getting under 2nd tax apron as they're not guaranteeing Cody Martin's contract of $8.6M for 2025-26 season, league sources inform @azcentral. Deadline is today. The Suns are a little over $10M over the 2nd apron. Acquired Martin in trade before 2025 trade

John Gambadoro: The Phoenix Suns will not be retaining Cody Martin. His contract was non-guaranteed until today. He will be a free agent.

The Suns will decline Vasa Micic’s $8.1 million team option, and Cody Martin’s non-guaranteed $8.7 million salary could be another cap casualty as well. Phoenix does like Martin, so that may depend on how draft night and trade market shake out. Grayson Allen and Royce O’Neale are other tradable contracts that could be on the move if the right deal arises. But the biggest obstacle to freeing up that MLE is undoubtedly Bradley Beal’s $53.7 million salary.

Yossi Gozlan: The Phoenix Suns are still above the second apron and actually increased their payroll since they don't have to match for the 10th overall pick's $6 million salary. They'd be very close to getting below the apron now by waiving Cody Martin and declining Vasilije Micic.

League sources say several teams have registered interest in the Suns' Cody Martin. The veteran swingman could very well factor into any direct or multi-team deal that Phoenix inevitably puts together to ship out the NBA's No. 8 all-time leading scorer.

Gerald Bourguet: Kevin Durant on the Suns switching more with Ryan Dunn, Oso Ighodaro and Cody Martin: "I feel like that's the most effective way for us to guard is to be able to switch and guard 1-on-1.... You've seen something that we maybe can add going forward with those 3"
