“I always wanted to play for one team my whole career. I never wanted to switch,” said Wall, who was traded to Houston in 2020 after physical and personal challenges altered the trajectory of his career in Washington. “But I wouldn’t change my story for nothing. I gave 110 percent effort. Gave everything I had on both ends of the floor. Sometimes I was hardheaded and played through injuries that I probably shouldn’t have played through. But my favorite player of all time was Allen Iverson, so that was my mindset. If it’s not broke and you can go out there and compete, give it everything you got.”

Allen Iverson is heading out on the road to share his story with the world. The Basketball Hall of Famer is embarking on a book tour to talk about his memoir, Misunderstood. Iverson’s book tour will begin in New York, then New Jersey, Washington, DC, and Louisiana.
Ian Begley: Carmelo Anthony selected Hall of Famers Dwyane Wade and Allen Iverson as presenters for his upcoming induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Dwight Howard selected Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing to be among the group of people presenting him, the HOF announced

Evan Sidery: The Sixers are bringing back their classic black retro uniforms from the Allen Iverson era next season. After years of discussions around potentially wearing them again, Philadelphia is finally reviving this fan favorite.
Tim Reynolds: The No. 1 picks who have been/are teammates with LeBron James: - Shaquille O'Neal - Joe Smith - Greg Oden - Kyrie Irving - Derrick Rose - Andrew Bogut - Anthony Davis - Dwight Howard - Deandre Ayton - Allen Iverson (Olympics) - Tim Duncan (Olympics) - Anthony Edwards (Olympics)
Steve Nash: That’s a great point, because what you’re saying is—no matter what you have, you need more. No matter what. Like, it never ends. LeBron James: And it... I don’t know, man. It’s just like—you sit here and you tell me Allen Iverson, Charles Barkley, and Steve Nash weren’t unbelievable? Like, oh, they can’t be talked about or discussed with these guys because that guy won one ring, or two rings, or whatever? That’s just weird to me. It’s like saying Peyton Manning can’t be in the same room with Brady or Mahomes because he only has one ring. They never discuss that in their sport. Or telling me that Dan Marino’s not the greatest slinger of all time, or that he can’t be in the room with those guys because he didn’t win a championship.
I think your only NBA endorser right now is Matas Buzelis, right? Todd Krinsky: Yeah. We also have Tre Mann, who wears Iverson’s product. He’s a big Iverson fan, so we decided for him to wear Iverson’s product. But, yeah, that’s who we have right now. We’ve got a couple of young kids that are going to play in college this upcoming year, like Nate (Ament) and Darius (Acuff), and then we’re still looking for some other players, too.
Angel Reese is the first basketball player you signed after relaunching the basketball brand. And she’s getting her signature shoe. Has that been announced when that’s coming out? Todd Krinsky: It’s going to be later in the season, this season. Why is she the basketball player that you’re building around, and how does that fit into the larger storytelling and business arc? Todd Krinsky: If you think about when we’ve really been successful, it’s been having these bigger-than-life personalities that are embracing on- and off-the-court culture. Shaq was like that. He was larger than life. He wasn’t just a center. He transformed the game. And he had this bigger-than-life personality. Allen Iverson, we signed him in ’96. Obviously, he changed the way players look and dress. He changed the culture of the game. And I think that’s what Angel is.

Angel Reese initially signed with Reebok in 2023, and agreed to a multi-year extension with the company in October 2024, which will include a signature shoe to be released in 2026. While Reese has not yet met Allen Iverson in person, she is thrilled to have him in her corner. "I love Allen Iverson," Reese said prior to the Sky's matchup with the Indiana Fever at the United Center. "He has that mentality of a dog, he's a killer. No matter what he goes out there and gives his all every night and that's what I try to do, good or bad, I always try to give my all. It's always great to have him in my corner."
Jorge Sierra: Best scoring debuts in Finals history Allen Iverson (2001): 48 points George Mikan (1949): 42 points SHAI GILGEOUS-ALEXANDER (2025): 38 points It's the best mark ever in a Finals debut that ended with a loss.
Shaquille O’Neal and Allen Iverson once clashed on the court in the 2001 NBA Finals, but now the basketball legends are joining forces to revive the Reebok brand they helped make iconic. In the Netflix docuseries, “Power Moves,” which premiered this week, the Hall of Famers swap jerseys for executive titles, with O’Neal stepping in as president of Reebok Basketball while Iverson takes on the role as vice president. The six-episode series offers a behind-the-scenes look at their mission to spark a cultural resurgence for the classic sneaker company.
“I didn’t build Reebok all by myself,” said O’Neal, who won three straight NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers and another with the Miami Heat. He signed with Reebok in 1992 and made the brand popular with his first signature shoe, called the Shaq Attaq. Iverson’s signature shoes, The Question and The Answer, were some of the top sellers in the industry. He signed a lifetime endorsement and marketing contract with Reebok in 2001. “I needed A.I. to be vice president because if you’re a guard, you want to see a legendary guard,” he said. “I wanted to do a show that’s not scripted. Not polished. I wanted it to be real work.”
