It’s a new day for St. Bonaventure with former ESPN and Yahoo Sports reporter Adrian Wojnarowski at the helm of its men’s basketball program. WWE created customized championship belts for the school, adding the Catholic university to a growing roster of colleges with “Legacy Belts.” The TKO brand has also created belts for Michigan, Notre Dame, Texas, Florida, LSU and Penn State, among others. Along with the belts, the partnership with WWE includes NIL opportunities for the men’s basketball players. “Our fans will love the Bonnies-inspired championship title belts, and our student-athletes will be the beneficiaries of the opportunities that come from our alignment with WWE,” Wojnarowski, the basketball program’s general manager, said in a statement.

Troy Murphy left Notre Dame after his junior year in 2001 and was soon making $1.3 million playing for the Golden State Warriors. He went on to play in the NBA for 12 seasons and make over $66 million in his career. What’s he up to now? He recently started a financial advisory firm to help others deal with sudden wealth — and is donating all profits to high school programs that teach financial literacy. “Leaving college at 20 and navigating the financial landscape of the NBA? I wasn’t prepared for it. I wanted to create a service that I would have wanted then,” Murphy told MarketWatch. So he started Sweven Wealth, a financial planning firm whose primary focus is to help people manage sudden wealth.
Adams overcame that battle, with help from a member of the Notre Dame coaching staff, but soon ran into the same problem in his year at college in Pittsburgh, where he considered giving up on his American dream. "In those first few months at Pitt, I thought seriously about chucking it all in, quitting America and going home to New Zealand where I was more comfortable. I would say at least half of what I was feeling was in fact homesickness and nothing to do with basketball," says Adams.
