Breakfast Ball: "If we were going into a Super Bowl and it was Packers vs. Steelers you guys would celebrate that. People wouldn't talk about Pittsburgh being a small market. It's been intentional to create a CBA that allows more teams to compete." — NBA Commissioner Adam Silver on Thunder vs. Pacers in the #NBAFinals

Pittsburgh point guard transfer and Kentucky signee Jaland Lowe has withdrawn from the 2025 NBA Draft and will attend UK in the fall, he announced via social media on Thursday. "Can't miss out on this opportunity," Lowe wrote. "See you soon, BBN."
TJ McConnell: Cam Johnson’s my guy. I love that dude. But to say I was the Michael Jordan of Pittsburgh it's egregious. It's probably the most egregious stand I've ever made in my life. It's ridiculous. I had a really good high school career and I shot the ball a bunch. I had the ultimate green light. I had great teammates who just kept passing it to me and my dad was my coach who just pushed me to get where I'm at today. Going Division I at Duquesne and Arizona even I slowly started to transition to know that um I'm going to be a point guard. I was more of a shooting guard in high school and shot a ton of threes.
Travis Banham: Pittsburgh point guard Jaland Lowe is also entering the 2025 NBA Draft while maintaining his eligibility, a source tells @247Sports. Will enter the portal as “Do Not Contact.”

Filmmaker Antoine Fuqua’s connections to the Los Angeles Lakers are via his hometown of Pittsburgh. Norm Nixon played college basketball at Duquesne University before becoming a first-round pick of the Lakers in 1977, and Fuqua was a fan of his play at point guard. But doesn’t every fan have a story of loyalty to a favorite team? That doesn’t make Fuqua unique, but he was charged with directing a project on the Lakers and creating something unique, which isn’t easy given the proliferation of Laker-related content on and off the court just in 2022. “The goal was to really keep the focus on the family,” Fuqua said.
