GG Jackson: "When we go over the matchups, the very next slide is 'Pigeons'. And uh, we'll have—whoever the players are for pigeons—uh, you know, when we try to play the Nuggets, we want to get Jokic in a lot of ball screens with guys really going full speed downhill at him. You know, he's not really the best at the rim, but uh, make sure you keep the ball protected. You know, he can get his hands in there to swipe down."
Drew Hill: A few Grizzlies players spoke before the game today. Scotty Pippen Jr., Lamar Stevens and GG Jackson all said they were surprised by the Taylor Jenkins news. They found out the same time as everyone else. GG Jackson said he was also surprised by his G League assignment last week.
Memphis Grizzlies PR: Status Update: GG Jackson II has been recalled from the Memphis Hustle, and Yuki Kawamura has been transferred to the Grizzlies. Both will be available for the Grizzlies tonight against the Lakers.

Amid GG Jackson's frustration with his role after an NBA All-Rookie campaign last season, he was sent to the G League on March 17. An altercation between Bane and Santi Aldama also went viral after the two had to be separated on the bench during a win against the Jazz on March 25. "You got guys checking out (on Jenkins), and they're a top five team in the West about to go to the playoffs," a league source said.
Risacher, who doesn’t turn 20 until April 8, tied Rockets guard Jalen Green (4) for third in NBA history among teenagers with the most games with 20 or more points scored and five-plus 3-pointers made, according to Stat Mamba. Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (8) and Grizzlies forward GG Jackson (5) are the others. “He should be, in my eyes, and I’m not saying it because I’m biased, but I think (he) should be Rookie of the Year,” Young said. “What he’s been doing this year, he’s been thrown into the fire as a starter. You put him up against some of the guys in the running. I think his numbers speak for himself, too.
“The sample size is the sample size. It's not just a couple of games,” asserted Jenkins. “Guys have been in the rotation. Jaylen, thankfully, broke the lid open in the fourth quarter (vs. New Orleans). I think (Vince Williams Jr.) is getting great looks. (GG Jackson) is getting great looks, Ja has got great looks. I mean, whether it is variance or not, we have got to keep putting the work in.”
GG Jackson on Victor Wembanyama: “My opinion has drastically changed. As a competitor, we always find ways to hate. I’m pretty sure there are a lot of 18-year-olds saying, ‘I’m better than Cooper Flagg,’ but in reality, it’s like, bro, stop. He’s creating a new wave. I feel like, in the next 20 or 30 years, we’re going to see a couple of 7’5” or 7’3” dudes bringing the ball up the court and doing things like that.

GG Jackson on Ja Morant's hops: “I’ll compare it to when you see Mario jump and there’s that little poof of an air cloud under him. Swear to God, sometimes you see a little poof of a cloud under Ja. Every day in practice, like the past two training camps I’ve been part of, it’s something new. Like, every single day.”
Drew Hill: GG Jackson, speaking for his first time since returning to the Grizzlies, says, "Yeah, they forgot about me," when I started to ask him about being a breath of fresh air last year for the team/fan base. I followed up by asking who forgot about him. "A lot of people," he said. "It will be good to put the shock back on their faces."
Drew Hill: Taylor Jenkins on GG Jackson G League assignment: "I just want him to focus on the joy of being back on the court." He also said he wants GG Jackson to focus on defense during this opportunity.
