Jorge Sierra: FYI: Tim Hardaway Jr. passed Penny Hardaway in scoring yesterday. Also: Bradley Beal moved past Elton Brand for No. 106 in NBA history.
Penny Hardaway has made a name for himself as a coach of the Memphis Tigers. But the former NBA All-Star also wants to coach in the NBA. “I definitely want to coach in the NBA,” Hardaway said on The Draymond Green Show. “I get my juices flowing when I sit in the arena. I get my juices flowing because I feel like I can help a lot of young guys because I know the game. I played the game and they still respect my brand and who I am.”
Penny Hardaway, who was on the Magic both years, explained on the 'Out The Mud' podcast what the difference between Jordan in 1995 and 1996 was. "We ain't gonna discredit that MJ wasn't at the top of his game, because how could you come from baseball and be at the top of your game? But MJ on the floor is MJ, right?" "In the beginning, MJ was like, 'We've been winning championships ever since the last few years that I played. I'm gonna come back and win the chip.' And he didn't. We beat him. That gave him extra motivation. Then he had the whole summer." "95' MJ was good. 96' MJ was ridiculous. He came back with a vengeance. Put the cape back on—the Superman, whatever you want to say—and he put the team on his back, and they went 72-10 and won the championship... You knew it was a difference because he had a whole summer to think about what had happened."
Tony Allen : When those guys get those NIL deals, do you think that’s taking the hunger out the game? Anfernee Hardaway: It’s definitely taking the hunger out of the game… it’s taking the love out of the game from a coach's point of view.

Vernon Maxwell on Anfernee Hardaway: Penny was a problem, one of the first 6-9, 6-8 point guards we have ever seen. He was a problem. When they put LiL Penny out there they kind of f*cked him up. He should have left Little Penny in the damn background. He got bought in all that, you get caught up some times, you get caught up in that sh*t instead of doing your job. But yeah Penny was a problem.

Imagine if Tracy McGrady chose baseball over basketball! 🤯 “When we got Penny (Hardaway) in Orlando, that’s when I really fell in love with the game… I was bullied into playing basketball because baseball was my first sport and my first love” - @Tmac_213
Orlando Magic PR: Forward @Paolo Banchero now has 30 20+ point games this season. With the long-awaited retro of the “Home” Nike Air Max Penny 1 finally in stores comes news of another white-based Penny sneaker being prepped for retail. Sneaker Files reports that the previously unreleased “Home” Air Foamposite One PE worn by Hardaway during the 1996-97 season will finally be available to the public. While this particular version had never been released, Nike did launch a star-printed variation of the shoe dubbed “Shooting Stars” in 2014, taking inspiration from a PE worn by Penny during All-Star Weekend in 2012. It’s believed that the upcoming release will closely resemble the original exclusives.
Jason Munz: I asked Penny Hardaway this morning about Rasheed Wallace’s status. He said Rasheed is likely headed to LA to be part of Darvin Ham’s staff.
