Several big names have already been linked to the Perth Wildcats as they continue shaping their roster in search of an import point guard. It’s a process that has drawn plenty of attention, according to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc. “Last month, the Wildcats were offered 12-year NBA veteran Patrick Beverley, sources told ESPN, but chose not to meaningfully engage,” Uluc said. Beverley has played over 650 NBA games and most recently suited up in Israel before deciding his next move. The 2017 All-Defensive First Team selection and two-time Second Team member had fans raising eyebrows, as reports of his potential link surfaced this week. “Former NBL guard Travis Trice was also offered to the Wildcats, sources said, but he was another option they weren't interested in,” Uluc continued.
Eddie Johnson: And I will go on record and say you would have been in the continental basketball association and not in the NBA in the 80’s. . KD would have been Amazing in the 80’s, but you have zero clue how good Larry Bird was. ZERO!
Twelve-year NBA veteran Patrick Beverley certainly believes so. During a recent episode of "The Pat Bev Podcast with Rone," Beverley revealed he thinks Golden State would have won more than four titles if Paul George replaced Thompson. "If you put Paul George in that role playing as Klay Thompson, playing with [Steph Curry, Draymond Green, Andre Iguodala] at a point -- obviously we know Paul George a couple years ago, was in the MVP race," Beverley said. "If you substitute those two, and we don't know, we're just going off what we think in basketball, I think that Golden State probably wins more championships."
Nick Young’s message to Patrick Beverley: I’m back to the Swaggy now. Anytime you want to play me, I'm here, baby. You think I would let a player like that look like you beat a player that look like me? Come on, baby. We out here 7 days a week. Me anytime, any place. Come to LA next week, too, if you want to play. We can play whenever you want. Peace.
Patrick Beverley: I’m in Paris though, after Monaco. I’m in Paris, eating at the restaurant and a guy tapped me like, “Malik Beasley’s downstairs.” I’m like, “Who?” “Yeah, Malik Beasley. Old team.” “Oh… Michael Beasley?” “No no no. Malik Beasley. Pistons.” “Oh okay.” So I see him downstairs and I’m kind of hesitant too. I’m like, “Damn, you hot right now, man. You got feds on you and everything.” But man, he was in good spirits. He was in real good spirits. I was able to chop it up with him. His mouth, his demeanor—seems like he’s in a good place. He’s confident. He seems like he’s going to be on a roster next season. Hey, I’m telling you what he felt. I’m not telling you what the truth is.

Twelve-year NBA veteran guard Patrick Beverley is considering a new role off the court — as an investor in Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv, the Israeli club he briefly played for last season. "Patrick is now considering becoming a shareholder of Hapoel, to invest money in Hapoel," team owner Ofer Yannay revealed on The Baseline Podcast. "This is something that we are negotiating on."

But Pat Bev is looking to make a comeback in the league in 2025-26. Although there haven't been any reports about which team has taken an interest in the veteran guard, he's being patient to see how things will play out. On a clip from his show, "The Pat Bev Pod," posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, he teased fans on his potential return. "We're going back," Beverley said. "There ain't really nothing to talk about. We gotta wait for the first couple of days go down and we'll see where the veteran minimum's go. Who inviting who at camp. But, yeah. Whether if it's a veteran minimum or if we going to camp, we goin' Rone," he added.

Dave McMenamin: Wolves coach Chris Finch is asked if he’ll invite Patrick Beverley to give his team a pep talk before Game 4, since he’ll be in the building. Finch, with a smirk, “No, I’ve had enough Pat Beverley pregame speeches”
Patrick Beverley on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: But okay, whatever. Real proper—real like Drake vibes. And I’m like, "Nah, bro. You got a chance to be really good in this league." He’s like, "You mean really good?" I’m like, "Bro, you have a chance to be a superstar." He goes, "What do you mean, superstar?" I’m like, "Motherf*er, you got a chance to be Michael Jordan to Kobe Bryant. That’s what I’m talking about!"** He couldn’t believe me. He was kind of shocked. Shocked at the stuff I was saying. And I’m like, "Nah, bro. You crazy nice. You got a chance to be as good as anybody." And slowly, slowly, slowly—he was a phenomenal rookie. He was never late. We never had to popcorn his car or do anything crazy like that. He got the donuts every day. Elite rookie.
Patrick Beverley on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: He’s been like that since his freshman year. He was never the rookie that went out, smoked, or drank. None of that. And you know, as the leader of the team at the time, I was telling everybody: 'Listen, any rookie that don’t smoke or drink on this team—don’t make that a habit this year. There’s a lot of freedom around. If you ain’t smoked or drank before you got here, you ain’t going to smoke or drink when you leave here.' That was the message going around our locker room.
