Shams Charania: The Memphis Grizzlies are planning to sign center Charles Bassey via hardship exception, sources tell ESPN. Grizzlies currently have Ty Jerome, Scotty Pippen Jr., Brandon Clarke and Zach Edey sidelined for extended periods, clearing way for a 10-day hardship signing.

Santi Aldama: “It’s like a change of dynamic. Desmond Bane was a super important player for us on a playing level and also in the locker room. But the fact that he leaves and other players come in — it's like a change of chip, a change of situation for the team. But it's true that someone like KCP arrives, who has been on two teams that have won rings, Ty Jerome, who has played his best season so far, Jock Landale, who has been playing for five years and has a lot, a lot of experience, logically, he's going to have an advanced role now at the beginning because of what we were talking about the injuries."

Tim Bontemps: The Grizzlies announce Ty Jerome will be re-evaluated in four weeks for the calf strain he suffered last week. Both Jerome and Scotty Pippen are now out long-term.
