“You got so many kids, man. You might lose count. He going for one more!” Kentavious Caldwell-Pope: “You should see me when all of them are sitting in one spot and I’m trying to talk to just one of them. I end up calling them every other name except the one I meant. It’s crazy. I’ll be like, ‘Kendrick... Kenzo...’—but I’m trying to talk to KJ. Tristan Da Silva: And they all start with a K too. Every one of them. My daughter’s name starts with a K. All of them: Kenzo, KJavius Jr., Kendrick, Kindle, Knowledge.

Jason Beede: New #Magic guard Desmond Bane was asked about his impression of the talent he’s joining in Orlando: “Super talented … Paolo, Franz, Jalen, Wendell, Tristan, Anthony Black … It was always tough to put the ball in the basket against them, I’ll tell you that.” More: pic.x.com/qImMcgnuSF
Jason Beede: During the event, Tristan da Silva shared that he owned a #Magic Shaq jersey growing up. I asked him about it and Orlando’s new uniform, which is a callback to that era: “It’s iconic. Everybody knows those jerseys … It’s really just honoring that legacy that they left behind.”
It was during Orlando’s first-round playoff series against the Celtics when da Silva witnessed the change in intensity that the postseason brings compared to the regular season. “The switch was wild,” he said. “Just to see how much more physical the game is … The stakes were higher and every game counts. It’s a lot more detailed. It’s a lot more fun.”
Improving this offseason is also a goal for da Silva, who plans to hit the weight room before focusing on his all-around game. “Now that I’ve been a part of a playoff team and saw it firsthand, that’s definitely another thing I want to improve on,” da Silva said.
