USA Basketball today announced the 12-man roster and coaching staff for the November 2025 USA Men’s World Cup Qualifying Team, which will play Nicaragua in Managua, Nicaragua, and in College Park, Georgia, on Nov. 28 and Dec. 1, respectively. The 12 athletes slated to compete for the USA have professional experience in the NBA, NBA G League and internationally with six players having prior USA Basketball experience. The November 2025 USA Men’s World Cup Qualifying Team includes MarJon Beauchamp, Pedro Bradshaw, Garrison Brooks, Torrey Craig, Kessler Edwards, Kyle Guy, Nate Hinton, Brandon Knight, Jaden Shackelford, Javonte Smart, Jeremiah Tilmon and Ryan Woolridge.

Veteran forward Torrey Craig enjoyed his Celtics experience but is a free agent and is likely going to have to wait until late in training camp or the regular season to attract interest from an NBA team. Craig was a positive locker room presence in Boston but could never earn consistent rotation minutes and the club is opting for younger players in this transition season.

Jordan Walsh told the Globe on Saturday that coach Joe Mazzulla, after the season, told him his role is uncertain because of the uncertainty of the roster. Now that the Celtics have lost Jrue Holiday, Kristaps Porzingis, and Luke Kornet, and with Torrey Craig a free agent, there are available minutes for several positions, including the 3-and-D role Walsh is vying to fill. “Now that we’re closer to the season and we know what the roster will look like, I gotta revisit that conversation to see what I can do,” Walsh told the Globe. “If there’s something open for me, how do I maximize my opportunity, get to it, and take advantage.”

I know you posted the video — you got to check in with Jayson. See how he's doing. How is he? And you know, what was it like to just be able to check in with him — you know, four weeks into the rehab now?" Torrey Craig: "Just to see him in good spirits — see him smiling, laughing, joking around — and just, you know, just have normal conversation. Talk about the offseason, what I'm up to, and uh, yeah, I just look forward to his recovery, the progress he's making. And it's always just good seeing him in good spirits."

Torrey Craig said he has confidence that the Celtics can contend even without their leading scorer, rebounder, and playmaker next season. “It’s a great group of guys, obviously, the situation matters, but I feel like even without JT, this team could still compete for a championship,” Craig said. “They’re talented. You just have to find a way to play basketball a little differently. But this group is way more capable. I have the utmost confidence.”

If the opportunity presented itself, Craig would love to be back in Boston, he told CelticsBlog after the Celtics’ playoff elimination earlier this month. “I love everything about Boston,” Craig said. “If it was available, then I would see myself coming back.” Craig said that the opportunity to be a part of a championship-caliber team is one he’ll always cherish. “Just being around the guys that previously won the championship – just seeing how they operate, how together they were, just being a part of the Celtic culture,” he said. “That was a cool experience for me.”

Craig, 34, is set to be a free agent this summer after spending the past few months with the Celtics. The future is uncertain for not just Craig but also for the Celtics, but the wing spoke about potentially re-signing with Boston. “I guess we’ll cross that path when we get there,“ Craig told MassLive after the C’s lost to the Knicks in Game 6. ”I have to sit down with my representatives, my agents and talk things through and see the options. But I wouldn’t mind re-signing here.”

Bobby Manning: Mazzulla said it's going to take some time to get Craig up to speed with the language and other intricacies of the #Celtics' system. They'll rely on his experience. "It's not rocket science ... we want to take advantage of that ... he's been great ... asking questions."
