Bobby Marks: Speaking of paying, we're going to probably have an eye on Karl-Anthony Towns. He is extension eligible. Jay, how about this number? Four years, $272 million. That is what Towns is extension eligible for. He's got two years left. He's got a player option for that second year. They can negotiate right now and he can sign that on July 6th. That's the number to certainly keep an eye on. Remember Jalen Brunson had given back some money. Mikal Bridges, will there be a compromise with Towns? Josh Hart is also extension eligible. Also, McBride, but Towns is going to be the player to focus on when we're looking at that next big contract here.

Bridges held an Instagram live session and said that he appreciates Hammon. He made it clear that Brunson knows her comments and that they motivated him more to silence his critics. “I appreciate (Becky Hammon), no cap,” Bridges said. “The words she said about can’t win with (Jalen Brunson) being a ‘1A’, ‘1B’, ‘he too little’, all that did is fuel that n****, bro. He know what she said.”

Looks like Knicks star Mikal Bridges is really enjoying the team’s NBA championship win. The former Villanova Wildcat went crazy on Instagram Live on Monday, doing everything from discussing Jalen Brunson getting a statue to singing to his dog Sonny. “Build him a statue,” Bridges said. “Build that little big-headed ass n—a a statue bro.”

Knicks owner James Dolan also got a shoutout from Bridges for helping the team lock in over the past 10 weeks as they rolled through the playoffs. He also referenced Dolan’s reported joke to the players about not having sex during the playoff run. “Someone take Mikal’s phone away,” Brunson wrote on X. “He could be a bigger savage if he built a practice facility in the city,” Bridges said. “But he still a savage.”

Jalen Brunson, sitting right next to Josh Hart and their fellow former Wildcat Mikal Bridges, revealed his friend has a softer side. “And not to continue to get on him, but he had a great text yesterday,” Brunson told Jenna Bush Hager. “He said, ‘I don’t know if I can say this in person because I may be emotional, but I really love you guys, and it really means the most to me to know you guys are here doing this with me.’ We have a special bond.”

Of course, Brunson had to preface his heartfelt comment by getting in a jab at Hart. He reminded everyone that Brunson and Bridges won two national championships while at Villanova, compared to one for Hart. “When we were younger, we all had a goal of obviously trying to make the NBA,” Brunson said. “In that long-term goal, we were able to achieve something great in college. Obviously, me and Mikal achieved something great twice, more than Josh.”

Alex Kennedy: Josh Hart on winning with Jalen Brunson and Mikal Bridges: "Those are my brothers for life. We have a bond for life. We obviously won the [NCAA] championship, but this one takes the cake. But those are my brothers. I wouldn't want to go into a game with anyone else besides them."

Bridges and Hart -- the other two parts of the "Nova Knicks" trio that also includes Jalen Brunson, three players who were NCAA champions at Villanova and teamed up in New York to try to do the same -- combined to score 27 points. Bridges had 14, Hart 13. "I don't know what I'm feeling," Brunson said. "I'm in awe. Whenever someone counted us out, we found a way to come back and do something about it."
