Grant Afseth: Philadelphia 76ers Injury Report vs. Dallas Mavericks: Joel Embiid: Probable (Right Ankle Sprain; Right Knee Injury Management) Kelly Oubre Jr.: Out (Left Knee Sprain) Trendon Watford: Out (Left Adductor Strain) MarJon Beauchamp: Doubtful (G League - Two-Way) Johni Broome: Doubtful (G League - On Assignment)

Austin Krell: After logging a season-high in minutes last night, Joel Embiid is PROBABLE (sprained right ankle, right knee injury management) to play tomorrow at the Dallas Mavericks. Doubtful: Broome, Beauchamp (G-League) Out: Watford, Oubre

Austin Krell: Joel Embiid QUESTIONABLE for tomorrow night at Memphis Grizzlies. Status quo for the rest of the standard contracts, except Johni Broome is doubtful (G-League assignment). MarJon Beauchamp doubtful (G-League assignment).

MarJon Beauchamp was back in Seattle, preparing to spend the holidays with his family, when the 76ers delivered him an early Christmas gift. The Delaware Blue Coats swingman received a call stating that the Sixers would sign him to a two-way contract and that he’d spend the holidays on an NBA road trip. So Beauchamp packed his luggage and flew to the Windy City on Christmas Day to meet the team. The Sixers announced his signing Friday morning. “This is just a blessing,” Beauchamp said before Friday morning’s shootaround at the United Center. “I’m just here to seize that opportunity. I feel like I can help. I’m ready, and I belong. “So it’s just coming in with confidence and trying to learn the system and help the team.”

Having his NBA dream cut short could have been devastating. But Beauchamp said he remained focused by staying in the gym. “I kept working on my game and waiting for my opportunity,” he said. “I feel like every time I had an opportunity, I seized the moment. “Obviously, I had ups and downs mentally, just trying to stay confident during those times. But I just trust in the Lord and his time and just control what I can control. I feel like I did that.”

And he could get the opportunity to provide depth for the Sixers (16-12), who need another athletic wing with Kelly Oubre Jr. sidelined by a left knee sprain. “Guys are injured,” Beauchamp said of the Sixers. “I feel like I can help the team with my length, my defensive abilities, and my shooting abilities. “I shot well in the G League this year. I feel like I can bring a lot to the team, and just my young energy, and bring good energy around the team. So I just feel like it’s a great opportunity.”

Tony Jones: The Philadelphia 76ers are signing Marjon Beauchamp to a two way deal, League Sources tell The Athletic. The Sixers are waiving Hunter Sallis to make room for the move Beauchamp is a former first round pick.

When it was over, MarJon Beauchamp had scored 26 points in the Team USA’s 123-93 blowout victory over Nicaragua, which was playing in a World Cup qualifier for the first time as a country. Beauchamp’s point total Monday was the second-most ever by an American playing in a Cup qualifier, trailing only the 27 points John Jenkins once scored in 2022 (this qualifier system has been in place since 2019). Add in Beauchamp’s 24 points in a win Friday over the same Nicaraguan team, and his 50 points over the two contests indeed are a new USA Cup qualifier record. He added nine 3s in the two games. “Yeah, he’s gonna be in the NBA at some point, whether it’s tomorrow or later this year,” Stephen Silas, the coach for the USA Cup qualifying team, said.

Beauchamp is too young and, arguably, too talented for that to be his fate. He is weighing European offers while waiting/hoping an NBA team calls. It’s neither likely, nor impossible, that Beauchamp is available for the next qualifying window, when the U.S. plays two games just north of San Diego against the Dominican Republic and Mexico on the border of February and March. If he should happen to suit up again for the Americans, Beauchamp would continue to exhibit the advice pressed upon him for most of his NBA career to date by a player you may have heard of, two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was Beauchamp’s teammate in Milwaukee until the Bucks traded him last February to the Clippers for Kevin Porter Jr. Beauchamp said Giannis “is a big brother to me,” and “he’s the one who told me to be assertive, be aggressive, and every time I get on the floor, I gotta go make something happen.”

USA Basketball today announced the 12-man roster and coaching staff for the November 2025 USA Men’s World Cup Qualifying Team, which will play Nicaragua in Managua, Nicaragua, and in College Park, Georgia, on Nov. 28 and Dec. 1, respectively. The 12 athletes slated to compete for the USA have professional experience in the NBA, NBA G League and internationally with six players having prior USA Basketball experience. The November 2025 USA Men’s World Cup Qualifying Team includes MarJon Beauchamp, Pedro Bradshaw, Garrison Brooks, Torrey Craig, Kessler Edwards, Kyle Guy, Nate Hinton, Brandon Knight, Jaden Shackelford, Javonte Smart, Jeremiah Tilmon and Ryan Woolridge.

If everything goes as expected, MarJon Beauchamp will sign a contract with the 76ers. Sources have said the 6-foot-6 small forward has agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Sixers. However, a team source said it is not official yet. The source said the Portland Trail Blazers are still involved. The Blazers waived Beauchamp on Tuesday, one week after signing him to an Exhibit 10 deal, and the franchise could be trying to negotiate a better deal.
