Scott Agness: Johnny Furphy talking postgame, says he's 6.5 weeks post surgery. "Just got off crutches. That was a big milestone for me. I'm moving around a lot more now without crutches. So it's been a big week for me."

Tony East: [The pick protection] gives incentives for how the rest of this season could go. How do you want that to be approached? Pacers GM Chad Buchanan: I think our organization has always been about competing. We’ve got a lot of integrity with this organization, that’s how we operate. We’ll continue to operate that way. We want to be developing some of our younger guys. Obviously, losing Johnny [Furphy] is unfortunate because I think he was going to have a lot of opportunity. He was showing signs of growth and progress, and that’s going to be paused now for a little bit while he recovers. But there’s young players on our roster still that we want to see see how they can handle the opportunities in front of them. But also we want to get some chemistry with [Zubac] once he’s healthy. [Obi Toppin] is on the mend from his injury, and we want those guys to have some time together. But we also want to be smart on how much load we put on them. Those guys all want to play. Those guys, this is what they love to do. But we’re gonna have to approach the rest of the year with what we’ve always been about, and that’s competing. And some nights that’ll look different, but we’re always going to go out there and try to compete to win.

Michael Scotto: JUST IN: Indiana Pacers swingman Johnny Furphy underwent an MRI today, which confirmed he has a torn right ACL, league sources told @hoopshype . Furphy, a key contributor who the organization is high on, has started 21 of 35 games for Indiana this season.

Michael Grange: Uggg. That does not look good for Johnny Furphy. Landed awkwardly after that dunk, looked like his knee buckled. He hasn't moved and entire Pacers bench is over on baseline checking on him. Fingers crossed.
The reactions said it all. It was hard on all of the Pacers.

Great concern for Johnny Furphy, who suffered a right leg injury and was taken back to the locker room in a wheel chair. pic.twitter.com/Aga2nd0u7x

Tony East: Carl Eaton and Obi Toppin help Furphy off the floor. He appears to be bending both knees but with very little weight put on either one. Then, Furphy goes back to the tunnel in a wheelchair.

TJ McConnell (left knee soreness) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Boston. Johnny Furphy (left ankle sprain) is available.

Dustin Dopirak: Rick Carlisle says Johnny Furphy practiced with the Boom this morning/early afternoon before he was recalled. Said he's not sure they'll have him play a game with a Boom or not.

Dustin Dopirak: Carlisle said Johnny Furphy's situation is getting better and he's starting to do more activity on the floor. "I would think in the next couple weeks sometime." Says Kam Jones has recovered from his back injury but now begins a process of ramp-up to competition.

The Pacers have downgraded RayJ Dennis (low back sprain) to questionable) and Johnny Furphy (left foot bone bruise) to probable for Monday’s game against Milwaukee.

Dustin Dopirak: Two upgrades for the Pacers in the injury report. Johnny Furphy and Taelon Peter upgraded to questionable. Other six guys -- Nembhard, Mathurin, Toppin, McConnell, Jones and of course Haliburton -- are all out.
