Jeff Goodman: BREAKING: RJ Luis' father, Reggie, tells @TheFieldOf68 that his son is definitely remaining in the NBA Draft. "There will be no change of heart," Reggie Luis told @TheFieldOf68 . "RJ's excited about the future. He's appreciative of St. John's, Coach Pitino and the fans. He wants to leave college as Johnnie." Luis averaged 18.2 points and 7.2 boards for St. John's this past season and helped lead the Red Storm to its first outright Big East title since 1985. "We understand the situation, we were offered a lot of money to go back to college. But we have a plan and we're going to stick with the plan."

Dan Hurley talked to Billy Donovan about Lakers' offer

With so many similarities with Dan Hurley (not the least of which, a couple of New York-area Irish kids who were former Big East point guards), Billy Donovan was a perfect sounding board for Hurley while he considered the NBA last spring. "We didn't get into the Lakers' situation or their personnel," recalled Donovan, who is entering his fifth season as Chicago Bulls' head coach. "I think Danny needed to go through whatever he went through. He was going to be able to find out the inner workings of the Lakers. I don't know anything about that ... Danny had to go through that on his own."

Olivier-Maxence Prosper, who measured just short of …

Olivier-Maxence Prosper, who measured just short of 6-foot-7 in socks with a 7-foot-1 wingspan, was one of the biggest standouts at the 2023 NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. We have Prosper as a projected top-20 pick in our latest 2023 NBA Mock Draft. When he meets with NBA teams during the pre-draft process, he told For The Win during a recent video interview that there is one thing that he wants to make clear. “I want them to know that I’m going to leave everything on the floor to win. I’m a competitor. I’m a hard worker,” explained Prosper, who played a crucial role in leading Marquette to win its first-ever Big East Conference title. Prosper, who attended the NBA Academy and speaks four languages, knows what he wants to see come next in his journey.
