The New York Knicks are striking out with all their current NBA head coach targets right now, so they may have to turn to a former one. Ex-Knicks head coach Mike Woodson is considered to be a “wild card” for the job, Ian Begley of SportsNet New York reported Wednesday during an appearance on the “Knicks Film School” podcast. Begley says that the Knicks will likely “at least have a conversation” with Woodson and notes that Woodson has good relationships with Knicks owner James Dolan, president Leon Rose, and executive William Wesley.

Sacramento Kings general manager Scott Perry has already made a couple of significant hires with more to come in the days and weeks ahead. League sources told The Sacramento Bee on Tuesday the Kings were finalizing a deal to make B.J. Armstrong their new assistant general manager. Sources said the Kings were also nearing an agreement with Mike Woodson, who is expected to serve as the lead assistant under head coach Doug Christie.

Mike Woodson will return as Indiana's head coach for the 2024-25 season, sources confirmed to ESPN on Wednesday, ending speculation regarding his future in Bloomington. The Hoosiers are nearing the end of their worst season under Woodson, sitting at 17-13 overall and 9-10 in Big Ten play with one game left in the regular season after Wednesday night's 70-58 win over Minnesota.

Anthony has had his moments on that end when he exceeded expectations, playing hard on both ends for Mike Woodson in the 2012-13 season, when he earned MVP consideration. But with the game changing and the emphasis on pushing the pace on offense while clamping down on defense, it sounds as if the Knicks don’t think he’d fit.
