Last dream to make: the Olympics and an NBA title? Eric Gordon: I would’ve loved to take the Bahamas to the Olympics. I would’ve loved that. It’s going to be hard, because that’s in 2028, and as I get older it’s going to be tough. But of course, the dream was always to win a gold medal in the Olympics.
Alessandro Luigi Maggi: 🚨 Virtus Bologna is close to sign Kai Jones, I am told. The Bahamian big man played 12 NBA games with the Mavs and 28 with the Clippers last season. In the G League, he averaged 12.5 points and 7.3 rebounds in 15 games with San Diego.
What about — like, I was telling them — the difference you notice when you make that jump from college to the NBA? The spacing you get, the flow that’s better, the pace is faster. What was that difference like for you? VJ Edgecombe: So, remember I played with the Bahamas team? Yeah — so I was already in some space, kind of playing in professional-type spacing. College though? I hated college basketball, personally. Some people love it — I don’t. Because I was also dealing with two centers — two bigs — sitting in the paint. I’m trying to get to the cup, and it was bad. I’m like, “Bro, I got no space to operate.” And then you can sit in the paint — you know what I’m saying? There’s no three-second rule. Nothing.
I believe that Deandre Ayton was the Lakers' top target among centers from the first minute of free agency. I know it might have looked to some like the Lakers lost out to the Clippers on Brook Lopez and pivoted to Ayton, but that's not how it went down. Ayton and the Trail Blazers came to terms on a buyout agreement on the day before free agency officially began and the 7-foot Bahamian was instantly regarded by numerous interested teams as a virtual lock to land with the Lakers.
Klay Thompson might not be quite ready to go Instagram official with Megan Thee Stallion ... but, that doesn't mean he won't tease fans with a couple of strategically taken photos. The basketball star posted a series of pics from the Bahamas to his Instagram Saturday ... including one where he seems to be locking lips with a woman who's wearing a tight pair of leggings.

The Cedar Spring Community Center will provide vital resources such as food, games, school supplies, health services, and more to the local community.
Scott Agness: Buddy Hield attended tonight's NBA Draft in support of VJ Edgecombe, the third overall pick to Philly who is also from The Bahamas. Edgecombe: "He's my dog. Buddy came to the draft. He pulled up just to show love. It means a lot and that goes a long way."
Nick DePaula: BREAKING: Adidas has signed VJ Edgecombe to a multi-year shoe deal. 📄✍️ The explosive guard from the Bahamas is projected near the top of today’s 2025 NBA Draft. “This is a family, and I’m going to keep doing whatever I can do within that to help grow the brand,” VJ told me.
Sirius XM NBA: "I always tell him I'm better than him." 😂😂 @vj_edgecombe tells @TheFrankIsola and @Scalabrine that his Bahamas national teammate Buddy Hield has been someone he can rely on Catch the full interview: sxm.app.link/NBADraftCovera… pic.x.com/NdGkQwU41A
• Dowtin on where he believes he has improved as a player since the team held its training camp in The Bahamas at the beginning of October: "I think all aspects of my game, you can kind of see [improvement], from being a leader, being a point guard, being able to find guys, being able to move the ball, being able to play in transition, being able to knock down open threes, catch-and-shoot threes, threes off the dribble, being able to get to the paint, finish around the rim, being a vocal in the defensive end. Just everything, all-around aspects of my game I think have improved. I think I've shown that a lot throughout this year."

James Harden: For example, I randomly met Mike Rubin in the Bahamas at a blackjack table. He was playing cards, and I was watching—I like to gamble a little bit too. Normally, I don’t like people looking over my shoulder when I’m gambling, but I was doing it to him. He kept looking back, and then he said, ‘Nice to meet you. I’m Mike Rubin, one of the owners of the Sixers.’ I said, ‘Oh, nice to meet you.’ I think he was there for his daughter’s birthday or something. Anyway, he ended up leaving, but we locked in from there. Since then, any time I’ve had an opportunity or a question, I’ve reached out to him. I haven’t gotten to that same level with Steve Ballmer yet, but my focus is to pick his brain and understand his mindset. Guys like that are courteous, and they want to give you information. A lot of people don’t get that opportunity, so I feel like I have to take advantage of it.
“I respect that he’s willing to do it — to bet on himself, to bet on development at this point,” Spoelstra said of Little, with the Heat in the Bahamas through Saturday for training camp at Baha Mar. “Because when you’re a former first-round pick, you probably do have some opportunities if you’re patient to explore. He wanted to invest in development that will be longer lasting. And there are no guarantees. That’s just where we are with our roster right now, but we are in full open arms to give him everything we have to develop him and help him reach another level. So it’s exciting for both parties.”
Ira Winderman: The expectation is that Butler will participate in Tuesday's opening training-camp practice at the Baha Mar resort in the Bahamas. Eligible for a contract extension since early July, Butler remains somewhat in contract limbo, with Heat President Pat Riley, in his season-closing remarks in May, noting that the Heat have through the end of this coming June to decide on an extension. Butler holds a player option for 2025-26 on a contract that pays him $48.8 million this coming season.
