|Chandler Parsons

Chandler Parsons: Is Tyrese Haliburton a superstar? George Gervin: When they needed him, he was there. You know what is a superstar? A superstar is someone you can depend on. Someone who takes charge when it's time. He got all the criteria, that's been proved that he is a superstar. So, I'm excited about it. He has some big shots in these playoffs to get them where they are today. So, he done proved to me that he does belong and he should have that title. No doubt.

DeMarcus Cousins on greatest small forwards: 'It's LeBron James, then Larry Bird'

Chandler Parsons: It’s going to be hard to jump over Bird, KD, and LeBron. Michelle Beadle: Does anybody have him jumping over Bird? Lou Williams: He can jump over guys if you add championships. DeMarcus Cousins: No. Let's not do this. No. Beadle: Not even a little? Cousins: No. Williams: Yes, he can. Cousins: No. Larry Bird? No. Parsons: I don’t want that smoke. I give him maybe Pippen. Beadle: Why wouldn't you put him over Pippen? Kawhi Leonard's been the guy on a championship team. Parsons: Just availability, I suppose, is the only flaw. Beadle: Okay, but when he's there… Williams: Why is Larry Bird untouched? Why is Larry Bird an untouchable in this conversation? I'm not challenging nothing about Larry Bird. I'm asking why is he an untouchable in this conversation when we're throwing out LeBron James, Kevin Durant…We're throwing out so many people, but when it comes to Larry Bird, you’re all shutting down, I don’t understand. Parsons: Three time champ, two-time NBA finals MVP, three-time MVP, 12 time All-Star… Williams: You don't have to tell me, I know exactly who Larry Bird is. Parsons: Nine-time first team. Lary Bird is even a three-time all-defensive team. Cousins: Can we not do this? Williams: Then Larry Bird is number one then, right? Based on your logic. Cousins: No. It’s LeBron James, then Larry Bird.

Calvin Darden Jr., the man who scammed former NBA …

Calvin Darden Jr., the man who scammed former NBA player Dwight Howard out of millions for an investment in a fake bid for a WNBA team, has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison. Darden Jr. will serve a decade-plus for scamming NBA champion Howard, 39, and former Houston Rockets player Chandler Parsons out of $8 million in a fake bid to buy the Atlanta Dream, Matthew Podolsky, the Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, said on Thursday, April 3.

A Manhattan jury in October convicted Calvin Darden Jr. of cheating Howard -- who had been one of the NBA's most dominant players in his prime -- out of $7 million in a bogus scheme to buy the WNBA's Atlanta Dream. The 50-year-old Atlanta resident was also found guilty of bilking $1 million from former NBA forward Chandler Parsons in a separate ruse involving the development of then-NBA prospect James Wiseman.

Chandler Parsons: 'There is more competitive basketball at Rico Hines' summer pickup games at UCLA than at All-Star Weekend'

Chandler Parsons: I like the concept, and again, I respect the effort here, but this just isn’t the solution. I don’t think the format is going to stick. There’s zero intensity. There is zero defense. There is more competitive basketball at Rico Hines' summer pickup games at UCLA than at All-Star Weekend—and it’s not even close. By the way, dudes will go at it in the summer. They’re trying to get in shape. There’s a motive. There’s something they’re actually playing for.

Mark Cuban confused by Luka Doncic trade

Mark Cuban confused by Luka Doncic trade

So I’ve got to wonder—what does Mark Cuban think of all this? Obviously, he’s not the majority owner anymore, but he’s still in the mix. You think he’s thrilled about this? CHANDLER PARSONS: I texted him, and I said, “I’m so confused.” And he wrote back, “That makes two of us.” So that kind of tells you right there—he wasn’t involved. By the way, this new ownership—Patrick Dumont and the Adelson family—are business people, right? They’re Vegas casino and real estate moguls. They know nothing about the NBA or basketball. So they’ve fully given Nico the keys to make decisions and bold moves like this. I believe Mark. I think this is just as much of a shock to him as it is to all of us. His comment from back then is now coming to light about “filing on Monday,” which is obviously being brought back up. But yeah, I mean, I texted him, and he literally said, “That makes two of us.” So he’s probably just as shocked as we all are.
