Paris Basketball is exploring a high-profile coaching addition as the club prepares for the next chapter of its project. Paris is in talks with former NBA head coach Dave Joerger, sources tell ESPN's Olgun Uluc and BasketNews. The 52-year-old Minnesota native has been exploring opportunities outside the NBA and is widely expected around the market to emerge as Paris' next bench leader.

Paris is currently coached by 28-year-old Julius Thomas, who took over the team mid-season. However, BasketNews sources indicate that Thomas is expected to leave the organization this summer and is exploring opportunities to join an NBA coaching staff. Former Minnesota Timberwolves executive David Kahn oversees basketball operations in Paris, while the organization has established a growing reputation as a pathway between European basketball and the NBA.

Melbourne United are the last team in the League looking for a head coach, and Hools is Hearing that a very prominent and well-respected NBA name is at the top of the list. Current Milwaukee Bucks assistant Dave Joerger has been interviewed by the club recently about potentially taking over after Dean Vickerman’s departure. The 52-year-old has previously been Head Coach of the Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings, before being added to the Bucks staff two years ago.

Boucek is comfortable having those conversations now, but it wasn't always that way. She hid her pregnancy while she was on the Sacramento Kings' staff in 2017-18, telling then-Kings coach Dave Joerger only after they played a tennis match in which she worried that her heart rate was getting above the level that was safe for a pregnant woman of advanced maternal age. Joerger was supportive of the pregnancy, Boucek said, but agreed to her request to keep it a secret from the rest of the staff and team. "I didn't want anybody to know because I didn't want the coaches to treat me different, you know, or the players to not want to hurt me, or them to not want me to travel," she said. "I thought I might have to make a choice. As women, a lot of times we do.

Joerger was one of the first people who asked Boucek why she couldn't do both. "I hired Jenny because I really respected her point of view and her knowledge," Joerger said. "She just has a great outlook and attitude. The players gravitate to her. You can tell how much they respect her."

The 18th edition of the adidas Eurocamp, a top pre-draft showcase for international basketball talent aged 16–22, will take place from May 31 to June 2 in Treviso, Italy. Led by Coaching Director Bill Bayno and Scouting Director Gianluca Pascucci, this year’s camp features NBA coaches like Dave Joerger, Rex Kalamian, DJ Bakker, and others from teams including the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Detroit Pistons, and LA Clippers.
Word is, though, that Phoenix has weighed pulling some candidates into its search who do have NBA head coaching experience. Two such names that have already emerged as possibilities: New Orleans Pelicans associate head coach James Borrego and Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach Dave Joerger.

Christie has long-standing ties to the organization, going back to being a starter on those iconic teams of the early 2000s under Adelman. Christie has done a solid job the past few months since taking over for Brown. Christie will likely get a look to remain as coach, but Ranadive has repeatedly hired big names over the past decade -- including George Karl, Dave Joerger, Luke Walton and Brown -- so there's certainly a chance he pursues a bigger name this summer.

Michael Scotto: James Borrego did his initial interview as well. He’s a noteworthy candidate who won 10 more games each of his last two years in Charlotte. I’ve also heard Dave Joerger and Chris Quinn have spoken with Cleveland for their head coaching job. Others include Johnnie Bryant and Micah Nori. I see Atkinson and Borrego as finalists for this job when it’s all said and done.

New Orleans Pelicans associate head coach James Borrego completed a visit with Cavaliers brass on Tuesday, sources said, while Golden State Warriors assistant Kenny Atkinson and Timberwolves assistant Micah Nori are also scheduled to meet with Cleveland officials in person this week. The Cavaliers have met with and are still conducting interviews with various candidates over Zoom as well, sources said, such as Knicks assistant Johnnie Bryant and Milwaukee Bucks assistant Dave Joerger.
Chris Herrington: Mike Miller, Tayshaun Prince, Darrell Arthur joining Rudy Gay. Beno Udrih, Jon Leuer and Quincy Pondexter among the former Marc Gasol teammates in the house. Dave Joerger also here.
Jake Fischer: As an extension of Doc Rivers’ All-Star Game decision, being told Milwaukee’s new assistants Dave Joerger and Rex Kalamian will also abstain from joining Bucks coaches in Indianapolis, as Adrian Griffin’s staff has earned the honor of representing the Eastern Conference.
