Tacko Fall will join the New Zealand Breakers for the remainder of the 2024-25 NBL season, sources told ESPN, after the team announced it had parted ways with American big-man Freddie Gillespie. Gillespie played his final game with the Breakers on Saturday against the Cairns Taipans, leaving the team with averages of 6.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and a league-leading 1.8 blocks per game.
On how the Detroit Pistons would fare in Euroleague: Freddie Gillespie (Crvena Zvezda): “With the right coach, they’re finishing no lower than fourth or fifth. Doing well in the NBA is all about star power. Doing well in the Euroleague is about the depth of your team. And the Pistons would have a deep team by Euroleague standards. Inexperience would be the biggest reason they drop games. The NBA is for the young and hungry. Euroleague is for the matured and seasoned. That’s why I think the coach would be a huge factor too. The coach would have to cover the gap in experience.”
