Adrian Wojnarowski: Clippers rookie point guard Jason Preston had right foot surgery in Los Angeles today and is expected to miss a significant part of the season, sources tell ESPN. Preston was the 33rd pick in the July NBA Draft out of Ohio University.
Preston decided last week that he would leave Ohio University and remain in the NBA Draft after impressing at the NBA Combine in Chicago and during workouts. There’s a lot of momentum behind him right now, which had never really been the case in his basketball life before. Preston lost his mother to lung cancer when he was 16. He was then taken care of by his cousin, Justin Morgan, who moved from Jamaica to Florida to help him out, and his mother’s best friend’s sons, Brian-Marc and Russell Whittaker.

Adrian Wojnarowski: Ohio University junior guard Jason Preston will remain in the 2021 NBA Draft and sign with agent Drew Gross of Roc Nation Sports, Preston told ESPN on Wednesday.

Jaaron Simmons will be going to Michigan. The Ohio University transfer confirmed to the Free Press that he is withdrawing his name from the NBA draft, which cements his Michigan plans as a grad transfer point guard.
Trent made millions as a basketball player but found himself bored in retirement and searching for something that gave him purpose.
