Elijah Williams, the son of former NBA head coach Monty Williams, committed to Baylor on Wednesday. Williams is ranked No. 40 in ESPN's 100 for the class of 2026. "The attention the whole staff gave me, especially head coach Scott Drew," said Williams of why he picked Baylor. "The calls and texts were very consistent. The belief they have in me made a big difference."

Genetic testing as part of preparation for the 2014 NBA Draft revealed that Austin suffers from Marfan syndrome. Austin led the Big 12 Conference with 119 blocked shots in 2013-14, which ranked as the second-most in Baylor single-season history. He finishes his BU career with 177 blocks, which ties current NBA players Quincy Acy for second on the Bears’ all-time list.

Baylor forward Quincy Miller, the Big 12’s Co-Freshman of the Year, will enter the 2012 NBA Draft, school officials announced Tuesday. The announcement came two weeks after Miller, a Chicago native, initially expressed plans to return for his sophomore season. In a statement issued by the school, Baylor coach Scott Drew said Miller had a change of heart after coaches and family members “were able to gather more information and Quincy was able to reflect on his decision.”

Baylor sophomore Perry Jones III will head to the NBA. Bears coach Scott Drew told CBSSports.com that the talented 6-foot-10 Texas native has decided to leave school. Jones averaged 13.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game, but NBA executives question his toughness and intensity. However, it's unlikely that Jones isn't taken in the NBA lottery.
