Every time you come on here, you always give us a great Jokic story. Obviously, since the season ended, he's gone back to Serbia. Have you seen him since? Hung with him? Anything else interesting on that end? Heard from him? Has he said anything funny? DeAndre Jordan: I definitely hear from him, but I know when he gets home, he throws his phone in the river—and he knows that. But yeah, I talked to him maybe like a week or so ago. He sent me a picture of him with a horse—like a selfie, him and the horse together. That was... yeah, I was like, “All right, have fun, brother.”

“It’s corny, but it’s also true,” Nuggets big man and resident veteran spokesman DeAndre Jordan told The Athletic about the motto. “We believe in each other. We believe in what we can do. And we’ve got a lot of great guys in this room who have won, who can contribute to winning, and what our ultimate goal is. I think the environment is just us against everybody else, man. We have faith in this group. “I think with DA (Adelman) at the helm now, people think we’re a wounded animal. We let go of our coach and our general manager with three games left in the season. I mean, if I were on another team, I would think the same thing, too. But I think this has been a great thing for us to bond together. We’ve become stronger and more resilient.”
The NBA announced the finalists for the 2024-25 Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award on Tuesday. Current NBA players will select the winner from these 12 finalists (six finalists from each NBA conference). The players selected as finalists are below (listed alphabetically by last name): · Steven Adams, Houston Rockets · Nicolas Batum, LA Clippers · Jalen Brunson, New York Knicks · Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors · Tobias Harris, Detroit Pistons · Al Horford, Boston Celtics · Jaren Jackson Jr, Memphis Grizzlies · James Johnson, Indiana Pacers · DeAndre Jordan, Denver Nuggets · Brook Lopez, Milwaukee Bucks · Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland Cavaliers · Jaylin Williams, Oklahoma City Thunder
“Dennis is like, ‘Dude, we’re cool. I invite him over. I play Fortnite with him because that’s what he likes to do. I’m trying to be friends with him. It’s me, him, and Dorian Finney-Smith hanging out all the time. What are you talking about?’” “Luka didn’t like that. Carlisle completely flips out to the point where—DeAndre Jordan, of all people—the guy who left him at the free agency altar a few summers before—stands up and says, ‘Coach, you can’t talk to us like that.’”

Vinny Benedetto: Jamal Murray just got an alert to continue his 93-day Duolingo streak during his press conference. He's trying to learn Japanese. So is DeAndre Jordan. Murray conceded DJ is much farther along in his education.
Stability is a rare commodity when Jokic is resting. Denver’s 10th-year coach recognizes the importance of riding out whatever’s working in those minutes until it’s not anymore. DeAndre Jordan is working these days. “We’ve kind of settled into our backup five right now with DJ, so I think that helps. You know. ‘Is it Dario (Saric)? Is it Zeke (Nnaji)? Is it DJ?’ Right now, it’s DeAndre Jordan,” Malone said Monday.
“I feel like we’re just kind of starting to find our identity a little bit, which is, we’re gonna come out there and play hard and try to get stops and run and put defense into the game,” Jordan told The Post. “Try to muck it up a little bit. And our job is to honestly come out there and hold the lead. Or cut into deficits. Some nights are going to be different, but I feel like we’re starting to catch a rhythm a little bit.”
DeAndre Jordan: "Russ gets a bad rap at times just because of the competitiveness that he has, but he has been extremely supportive for our entire unit. Even when we ask him to start, come off the bench, guard the best guys down the stretch, get stops for us, or just come out, be a great veteran, and distribute the basketball, he’s done everything we’ve asked him to do. He’s also done that while being able to teach the young guys. Sometimes that is with a caring arm around the shoulder, and sometimes it’s with some other caring choice words, but he does a great job. He has a great heart. He wants to win, and he also wants to teach guys. I think when you have an MVP, future Hall of Famer who does that, it’s good for your team."

Tim MacMahon: Per @ESPNStatsInfo: The Mavericks attempted 23 more free throws than the Grizzlies in the 4th quarter (26 to 3). That is the largest difference in a 4th quarter since the Clippers against the Spurs in 2015 (+24). DeAndre Jordan attempted 14 free throws for the Clippers in that
As he reflected on the milestone with reporters again after Denver’s practice on Thursday, teammate DeAndre Jordan wandered over to interrupt the interview scrum, exclaiming, “200 triple-doubles!” “In my sleep,” Westbrook responded. More earnestly, he said: “When you set a standard of doing something consistently, people don’t know how to react to it, and I love that. That’s the best part of the journey, just being able to do things that haven’t been done.”
Vinny Benedetto: Dario Saric says he's comfortable playing a stretch 4 alongside Nikola Jokic or DeAndre Jordan or doing a Jokic impression with the second unit. "Whatever coach wants from me," he says.
