After signing a 1+1 deal last August, Jordan Nwora left Anadolu Efes after one season to become a free agent. The option on his contract was not used, leading to the separation on Thursday. Following 219 games played in the NBA, including a championship run with the Milwaukee Bucks in his first season, Nwora decided to expand his career overseas. Moving his talents to Efes, he introduced himself to the EuroLeague, tallying 7.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.2 blocks per contest over 37 appearances, including 15 starts. At the domestic level, he registered 29 more appearances with 14.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 0.9 steals per contest in the Turkiye Sigorta Basketbol Super Ligi.
Anadolu Efes Istanbul have officially parted ways with Jordan Nwora after one season. The 26-year-old forward averaged 7.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 6.8 PIR across 37 EuroLeague games, including 15 starts, in his rookie season.
After playing his whole career in the NBA, Jordan Nwora will make his debut in the EuroLeague. Anadolu Efes Istanbul announced that Nwora signed a 1+1 year deal until the end of the 2024-25 season with an option to extend it for a further year.
Toronto Raptors forward Jordan Nwora said that comments about betting from fans are “all the time, nonstop.” “You get messages,” Nwora said. “You hear it on the sideline. You see guys talking about it all the time. “It comes with being in the NBA. People bet on silly things on a daily basis. So I mean, it’s part of being in the NBA, it’s what comes with it. I get it. People don’t complain when you have a good game. I don’t get messages with people saying, ‘Thank you for helping me.’ ”

Jordan Nwora considers himself a Raptors fan and would have been at the parade in 2019, when he was in between his sophomore and junior years at Louisville, had he not been in Kentucky. Instead, his friends were sending him videos all day. Vince Carter is his favourite Raptor, even though Nwora was only 6 when Carter was traded.
“(I) wasn’t expecting that, but it’s good,” Nwora said of the trade to Toronto. “It’s a new situation, new opportunity, and in my head, I’m just going to just make the most of it. Obviously, (in Indiana) things didn’t really work out this year — we were super deep, (I) kinda was the odd man out. Hopefully here, I can take another step and hopefully become a staple, somebody who can be a good supporting cast for guys like Scottie (Barnes), RJ and (Immanuel Quickley).”
“Defence is something that in the past, he did not do a good enough job,” Raptors coach Darko Rajaković said. “And I’m really challenging him on that. I want him to become a solid defensive player because there is not one thing that can prevent him from being that. He’s big. He’s athletic. He’s very mobile. He is capable (of moving) laterally. His focus and attention and effort has got to be on (a) much higher level.”
