“I don’t know what the Celtics are thinking, but other than Jaylen Brown, there’s not a better scorer than Simons on that roster,” he said. “I mean, they obviously aren’t going to play the same way they played when they had (Kristaps) Porzingis and (Al) Horford and Holiday. Joe Mazzulla’s going to have to completely change the style of play. And Simons… nobody can score like him on that team other than Brown. He’s the second-best scorer, and it’s not even close.”

Jaylen Brown's father allegedly swung a knife at a man '25 times' according to a witness statement to police regarding his arrest for attempted murder. On Wednesday night, former professional boxer Marselles Brown was taken into custody by Las Vegas Metro Police following the incident at All American Park. The 57-year-old was booked into Clark County Detention Center on Thursday on suspicion of attempted murder and now further details from the night have emerged.

The other man in the SUV was immediately confrontational, said 'it was just a bump' and called the boyfriend a 'b**** a**,' the woman told police. Her boyfriend slapped a side mirror on the SUV in response, and the man asked 'if he wanted to go,' to which the boyfriend said yes. The girlfriend told police that the man from the SUV walked over to him 'while producing [an] unknown object from his right side' and then 'swung his arm in a straight stabbing motion and struck [the boyfriend] in his back.' Another witness said the man swung his knife at the alleged victim '25 times.' According to reports, bail had been set $300,000 and Brown would need to wear an ankle monitor.

Boston Celtics superstar Jaylen Brown's dad -- former boxer Marselles Brown -- was arrested for attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a youth football coach in a dispute over a parking spot, TMZ Sports has learned. Las Vegas Metro Police is investigating a stabbing that went down at All American Park on Wednesday ... stating two men were in a verbal altercation over a parking space when the suspect stabbed the victim in the stomach.

Officials say the suspect fled the scene ... but he was tracked down later and taken into custody. Brown has a court appearance scheduled for Thursday afternoon. The coach was rushed to a nearby hospital and required surgery. His condition is unknown.

Can Jaylen Brown carry the Celtics while Jayson Tatum (Achilles’) is on the shelf this season? “In my judgment, Jaylen is not quite at the superstar level that Tatum is at,” Bob Cousy said. ”Can he carry the load by himself? I see a major rebuilding effort here. Jaylen certainly won’t bring them to the promised land . . . [Derrick] White’s a good player and he’ll produce and he’ll be consistent, but his game doesn’t lend itself to carrying a team. This poor new owner [Bill Chisholm] must be shell-shocked. The minute he signed on the dotted line, the poop started to hit the fan. Everything that could go wrong for that franchise pretty much did. I hope he’s not having buyer’s remorse. I think he’s snakebit."

In a candid interview with “The School of Hard Knocks”, the Boston Celtics star opened up about mental health, his faith and the challenges that have shaped his journey to becoming a four-time All-Star. “I’ve dealt with anxiety, even depression. I’ve been to some very dark places,” Brown said. “But I feel like those dark places have allowed my light to shine.”

When asked what advice he would give someone going through rock bottom, Brown didn’t hold back. “It’s OK. Never let anything break your spirit. Everybody’s gonna deal with adversity at some point—even plants struggle to get sunlight.”

In a revealing conversation with media company “The School of Hard Knocks,” the four-time All-Star opened up about his journey from humble beginnings to NBA stardom and how he deals with negativity. “Haters, it’s a part of it,” Brown said. “They don’t build statues for haters. They build statues for people that do things.”

Ever since, Muay Thai has remained a priority in Jaylen Brown’s life; he even trained in between games during the NBA playoffs this year. “Fighters train harder,” he said in a Men’s Health video. “Being able to incorporate that into my mind and my body has been great.” Brown credits Muay Thai with improving his footwork, mobility and body control. However, he also believes it instilled a mentality and confidence that has trickled into every part of his game. “He’s such a knowledgeable and kind person,” Young said. “So to unlock that violent and aggressive side, that’s something I think he was looking for.”

Particularly for Jaylen Brown, he never got a chance to meet the Lakers legend before his untimely passing in 2020. Looking back at his 28 years of life, the Celtics star went as far to call not meeting Bryant as one of his biggest regrets, via Kyrie Irving LIVE: “That’s one of my biggest regrets in life. I never got to meet Kobe… He did a ‘Detail’ on me in like 2018… It [surprised me that he did it]. I was so hyped. I was so hyped… Somebody that’s so influential, it would’ve been great to be able to [meet him].”
